‘Multiple injured’ after bus crashes into bridge sparking rail chaos 

Inexcusable. They have route maps, height signs in the cab and driver training. Children like to ride at the front on the top deck and they have been killed in the past by this kind of negligence. UPDATE - so now we know 10 people including a child were injured and had to be taken to hospital. This type of accident should be prosecuted, its too common and 100% avoidable.

Bridge height signs all over how on earth does someone take chances. Reckless driving ban him for life he/she should face charges.

Railway bridges are too narrow. Its really difficult driving a double decker bus when the low bridge is not high enough. First bus glasgow will have to get the damaged public service vehicle replaced. I hope the driver is all right.

every modern car these days have a form of radar (parking monitors ) how hard would it be to legislate and install them on all double decker buses on the top levels, this is corporate negligence by these bus companies, putting profits before safety, yes drivers make the ultimate mistake, it is actually understandable, and has happened for the last 50 years ! if you drive a single decker all week and then your in a double for what ever reason ? i can see why it happens!...........a very small piece of inexpensive technology would stop this from happening, if the govt really wanted to make sure it never happened again they would also force companies to install auto braking if the driver didnt respond quick enough , if its good enough for modern cars why isnt it good enough for public carrying transport providers
