Here are a few proposals, some of which are incredibly unpopular: 1) Eliminate Obamacare and don’t replace it. You can retain a mandate for covering preexisting conditions but the insurance premiums will rise accordingly. Encourage healthcare cooperatives. End federal subsidies for Medicaid. 2) Limit $ for infrastructure to a minimum. Let states handle most of it. 3) Incentivize healthy behavior (i.e., new spending) so the future cost of Alzheimer’s, heart disease, and diabetes are controlled. There are several models for this. 4) Incentivize investing in various creative ways, such as a $1,000 gift to newborns that can’t be touched until age 21. Let’s have a nation of investors. 5) Run Medicare more efficiently; negotiate prescription drug prices across the board. Loosen restrictions on euthanasia. 6) A 10% marginal estate tax rate beginning at $3 million, 30% at $10 million, 50% at $50 million, 80% at $150 million, phased in over 5 years. Just estimated figures. The rates need to be adjusted so that the rich don’t give up their citizenship in order to save on taxes, and also maintain tax for wealth created before they leave. Similar changes to income tax rates. Alternatively, replace income taxes with a consumption tax that includes a formula for an exclusion. This incentivizes savings. 7) Reduce military spending so that it’s for defense and not for foreign intervention. 8) Reduce business regulations dramatically. Supply of goods and services will rise, inflation will fall. More homes will be built, and prices of existing properties will increase less rapidly.

I disagree with the fact that he's whining about the deficit after he voted for tax cuts for the rich that added trillions to the deficit.

Consumers pay for those tariffs. That would increase the cost of living.
