Without wishing to insult you, I would be extremely interested to find out from you who you consider currently (or previously, or in the future) represents the embodiment of spirit, values and culture of the US as a Nation on the World stage, in the same way our Royal Family represent us in the UK, the Realms and even the Nations of the Commonwealth. I find this fascination that many Americans have with our Royal Family strange as the Royal Family does not represent your Nation in any way whatsoever, be it in values, standards, culture or as part of a freely-made ongoing historical association/connection as with the 56 Nations of the Commonwealth, of which the US is not one.
@cast_cal : No, I fully understand the concept of "we the people", as it promotes and gives justification to a individualistic competitive Society with the social injustice, inequality, societal divisions and schisms (political and economic) that normally results in the rich becoming richer, the poor becoming poorer and Devil take the hindmost becomes the accepted Societal norm. It's worth reflecting that within places like Europe it's Nations like Norway, Sweden, Denmark, The Netherlands, and the UK that have retained Constitutional Monarchies which are also the most stable political Societies. Within Commonwealth Africa, Republics like Ghana, Nigeria, Lesotho, South Africa (Zulus & Matabeles etc), and many others, retained their own Royal Families as the embodiment and continuity of their tribe's history and culture. One could say the same about Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the other Realms that freely chose to remain culturally linked to the UK as Constitutional Monarchies. In the end it depends on how people see themselves, either as individuals operating essentially for themselves within Society, or as part of a common identity within a System which looks after each other for the common good. I await with interest to see how the US's Nov 2024 General Election continues to bring about unity & harmony, with all Americans sitting around the campfire sinking kumbaya together under (no alongside) the new President, like the last time, and the time before that. PS : Why are you (and many others) on a channel entitled "Daily Mail Royals", as surely there must be something else more appropriate for an American audience to follow.

The Commonwealth is basically reparitions by Britain, in the forrm of trade agreements for what the British Empire did to them. The King has no power over their gov'ts, he is merely a figurehead. Calling them "American Royalty" doesn't mean that we are calling them royal. It means that they are the most wealthy / powerful / famous family in the USA - I would say Hollywood instead, something like that, you get the gist. It is an expression. It is a sort of comparison.

She’s a public figure, not public property and almost all of us would crumble under this constant pressure. I actually think the British media have done a good job of respecting Catherine's privacy, but I live in New Zealand and am therefore possibly not as up to date. There was no photo of Catherine leaving the London Hospital and it was TMZ who got the shot and published it, of Catherine and her Mum in the car doing the school run, not the British media. It was only after the conspiracy theories were completely out of control that everyone started reporting the nonsense going on and I saw many British journalists saying it was appalling, disgusting and totally unacceptable
