In its opening weekend, the latest Spider-Man movie smashed box office records, raking in $253 million. Many are hoping it’s a sign of better times ahead for an industry that’s struggled throughout the pandemic. NBC New Now anchor Joe Fryer reports for TODAY.

The goosebumps I had watching this movie opening weekend and then watching this video just gave me the same goosebumps I had in the theater. The Audience is literally the best part of the movie, and the theater lit up when all three of them were together in one room... This movie was such a insane experience

Why say it like that. A lot of movie theaters suffered because of the pandemic whether you small brain can comprehend that or not. Spider-Man was just such an anticipated movie everyone was determined to watch it in theaters. I did. And it was incredible. But we still need to keep others safe.
