too bad the cult that follows tRump don't care and they will do anything including violence to put him back in the white house and I see noone willing to stop them. Simple math, tRump has the red states locked up for electoral votes, and the swing states, all he has to do is get one of the districts in two of the swing states to have their major blue district ballot counting facilities seized by MAGA supporting law enforcement backed up by a warrant issued by a federalist society trump appointed judge in those states, giving tRump those swing state electoral votes. The training to get this done was done in all the swing states back in 2017. Some of those training sessions were video taped and leaked. Everyone blew them off. Except the lawyers, judges and law enforcement that are part of it. So, do you honestly think they are going to stop their plan because of some words on a piece of paper they don't believe in? If you do, I have this lovely bridge in Brookland to sell you.

This ruling was nothing new or original, it has been upheld many times in the past by SCOTUS. Look up Nixon v Fitzgerald in 1982, and start working your way backwards and you will find other historical facts about this subject that disproves everything that you all are screaming about, or maybe you will be too stupid to recognize it.

He's not a dolt in his goals. They have said exactly as much, and want to make an already very powerful and Independent executive branch, even more independent.. but their have completely disregarded the "checks and balances" principle in this consideration.. Maximizing the rights of the president at the cost of the rights of the people to check their power. By decoupling Congress from checking the president, they in fact give SCOTUS more power to be a co-tyrant with the president, as any and all potential problems of the executive will be handled through judicial appeal back to them. It's not as stupid as you think, but more evil than you realize.

@@milspec8283 First of all crime is not out of control. Statistics show that crimes are relatively low right now. It's lowest it has been in 40 years. Right wing media is lying to you about that. Poverty has seen a 1% increase though in the last 4 years because of the inflation. But that is allot better than the rest of the world. EU has seen 3% increase in poverty post pandemic. Some African and Asian countries has seen close to 10% increase in poverty after the pandemic. So poverty could be allot worse in USA today than it is. After all sense the 1980's we live in a global market where US has less and less influence on the economy over all. So when wars and natural disasters hit other markets it also effects the US market. It's only though US military interference around the world we have manage to retain some control of the domestic economy.

Immunity is a mechanism used to relieve responsibility for a crime... it is not a get out of jail card for deliberate criminal activities. Immunity has no place in a conversation concerning official duties,,,

Immunity is not exoneration, it's not innocence, it doesn't turn a crime into lawful behavior. It's saying the government lacks the power to prosecute under certain specified circumstances.

Yeah, but the police say that won't be able to function, at all, without qualified immunity. But then, these "official acts" are within the view of the public, so "protection" is provided. While on the other hand, 3-letter agencies don't have official immunity. Is that because their activities are secret, or are their activities secret because they don't have immunity?
