This conman, Higgins, apparently doesn't know that a single shot from a 22 is not always lethal, not even to a 9yr old. But, multiple shots from an AR-15 tears these 9yr olds bodies apart where some parents needed DNA to identify their child. The murderers are Republicans. Democrats would ban assault weapons in a NY minute. Republicans want to make sure assault weapons are available to everyone. So guys like Higgins aren't willing to give up their hobby of shooting as many beer cans off a fence in 10 seconds as they can even if it saves lives. And I understand Higgins was in the military. I guess he hasn't been able to ease up on his training to kill.

So besides the glaring absence of due process, the other major problem with red flag laws is that theres no legal consequences for making a false or malicious call to police. You can make false claims and ruin someone’s good name and put them in court for years and there’s absolutely nothing that will be done.
