I wish people would stop pressing him about whether or not he should pick a black woman. I personally wouldn’t want him to do that ONLY because he feels pressured.
He can fall in love with whomever but it is disheartening to see that black women are consistently overlooked in the show and then even with a “black” bachelor they still don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell. And he’s only pressed because he knows he picked a white woman. I’m more than willing to be wrong though 🤷🏾♀️

Their timing seems to be off a lot. A couple of subjects I wanted to hear about got strangely little to no attention was 1. The twerking black woman in the restaurant owned by the black man and 2. The So Ho Karen woman who accused the black teen of stealing her phone was briefly discussed almost a month later ??
@@nc2325 a woman who used to be “ close friends” with them said T.I put a gun to her head. And she and other alleged victims said they was drugged & forced to do sexual things with them. T.I went live and said the allegations aren’t true. He said those women did those things with him and Tiny on their own and nobody drugged them or forced them to do anything they didn’t want to do. Chile it’s a mess ... SMH 🤦🏽♀️
He is going to likely choose someone who looks like his momma. That is his prerogative, and black women have options and will do just fine with or without him.
He is biracial not black. From a culture and identity perspective he grew up with his white mother and her family. He is not black and its ok. People are allowed to be who they are.
Ethically, he may be from two different people, but racially, he is black, all black. All his features are black. That’s what race is all about. No one, from a visual standpoint, will think he is anything less or more. Yes, he may be biracial, but when the police sees him, they will see a black man. That’s a hard truth!
@@thewrestlingpalace9989 His mindset and mannerisms are all to do with his upbringing and those of his mother's relatives. If you investigate him you will see who he feels most comfortable with and who his friends are. Maybe they will shelter him.
@@thematrix3663 I can’t speak to all of that because I don’t know him, but I do believe you. However, he looks very “black,” and if he doesn’t see that, he has a lot of problems. His mother should have done a better job. I have white people in my family by marriage, and they did fine jobs with their children and instilled in them a sense of self and culture. This man seems out of touch. Maybe it is just me? Do you see that?

If you think about it though a lot of AA people are already mixed and so we hv grown used to seeing lighter skinned mixed people. I believe that unmixed African people when mated to whites produced children who looked more like him in the past though.
@@thematrix3663 That’s a good point. “American” blacks mixed with whites produce lighter skinned biracial whereas pure African can produce a slightly darker skinned biracial. But honestly, this isn’t exact because as I’m typing I’m thinking of Trevor Noah who is very light skinned and also Barack Obama who is slightly browner. Both like Matt have 1 African parent. So I guess “color” really doesn’t matter. You come out how you come out 🤷🏾♀️

that is foolish. think about it. someone from another race has to step out and date black, so that blacks can date out. so no! everyone doesn't date their race. if everyone dated their race blacks would have no choice but to stick to black.
Many people nowadays are dating outside of their race not just black people so your statements make no sense. But there are people who date their own race as well. There are plenty of black women that date outside of their race. When black women date outside of their it’s normally a white man they chose to date. Do you are choosing to date the “oppressor”. I swear I didn't see one post about the biracial bachelor choosing a black woman until he made that conversation with the host on the show. And after that conversation everyone one on social media was saying they don't care about the race...

I've only watched clips of his season of the bachelor but I'm not going to lie, I watched like an hour worth of clips and thought he was boring. I watched 3 minutes of this interview and saw him differently
I have been watching the show for several years. I feel like every Bachelor and Bachelorette is boring. They air the serious/professional moments or convos and make out sessions. We get a few seconds of funny at the end credits and bloopers at the end of the season. You have to follow their social media or watch interviews to see their personality. I usually like to watch their vlogs if they become a RU-vidr.
I’ve watched this entire season so far and Matt is boring, which is why they’ve had throw in so much drama this season. Matt isn’t lying when he says he feels a lot of pressure to be perfect because he’s the first Black Bachelor. On social media/IG, he’s a goofball with his best friend, but on the show he’s BORINGGG.
Agree, I've been watching this season out of curiosity and he's seriously vanilla, but this interview he actually was funny and showed so much more personality.
People who get upset if he ends with up with a white girl need to go find some dishes to wash . I'm a black woman and I'd just love to see him happy with whoever he chooses, like so like that, cuz that's his business, as tabitha brown. would say.
He should not feel too much pressure because the only two black bachelorette didn't pick black men and he's sitting in front of a panel of women who are currently not dating or it's in their pass to be with someone outside their race. How much pressure could there be ?
A lot of pressure. Many BW have visceral reactions when a Blk man doesn’t fall in love with someone that is Black. It’s a problem that we have yet to divest from.

They had Tayshia on the black bachelorette couldn't have been a few weeks before Matt season started and two weeks before she picked and race wasn't discussed and Rachel co-hosted the show twice along with being a guess and I don't think the topic came up, so when I say he should not feel pressure, this is why I'm saying it.

This season of the bachelor has been a huge disappointment. With the constant excusing racism, the recent fallout with Rachel, and the disregard for the bullying of bipoc women. No one had any expectations of him picking a black women, even still that doesn’t make it okay to completely disregard the treatment of the black and poc identified women. Victoria literally got two woc kicked off with her antics but as soon as another white woman fell victim to her antics only then she’s kicked off... I can’t take this bs
