Judicial immunity does not grant them criminal immunity. It just basically means that they can't be sued for their rulings. Any criminal action, including judicial misconduct, is not included in the immunity. The president already had that immunity. The president also can't be sued for his official acts. Now he also can't be prosecuted if he did something illegal. That makes him above the law.

For instance, if a President became angry at an aid and threw hot coffee in their face, that President could be held criminally liable for assault. They could not yell "Official action!" and get off Scott-free.
