So nice to get an updated interview!! It was lovely, we are ALL rooting for that Oscar!

of course I knew about Elvis Presley but thanks to this man I fell in love. Im spending my spare nights any time I don't have to go out watching all the videos about Elvis and his story because despite the dark side I can feel I would have loved him and been crazy about him like anybody back then. There is something eternal about Elvis, something charming and heartbreaking at the same time, that was concealed by a layer of bad merchandising and cheap representations. Thanks to Austin Butler for delivering a glimpse of Elvis essence in this movie. Elvis always wanted to be a dramatic actor its almost tragic that he was living through the dramatic part he would have wanted to play in hollywood. And its such an ironic coincidence that his story was the stepping stone for Austin career as an actor. Its a beauiful full circle moment, really moves me. I hope you get that oscar, I hope Elvis is somewhere relieved he has turned into the role that gave another actor the career he always wanted.

Austin is such an amazing and humble person who gave an incredible performance as Elvis.

I learned something new from this interview rather than the same stuff! When he talks about the challenge of singing Trouble at Russwood, specifically dancing while up on his toes while singing high notes and the challenge of that. I could have listened to him talk about stuff like that for hours. He made everything look so “Elvis”, ie natural.

I am pretty sure that everyone fell in love with Austin after watching his stunning performance in "Elvis". It was mind blowing and I cannot imagine the amount of work he put into this role. He totally became Elvis and deserves every award under the sun for bringing Elvis back to life in such an incredible way.

Austin comes across as a very humble, polite, and gracious man. Rather like the icon he was playing in the film. Sometimes the good guys do win. His portrayal of Elvis was a once-in-a-lifetime performance. Good luck to him.

I didn't know about Austin Butler before I watched this Elvis Movie. The only reason I watched the movie is because my mum has always been a big Elvis Fan I thought I would check it out. I loved it Austin Butler is an amazing actor and a really sweet guy.

I have seen it 5 times, and listen to the soundtrack almost daily. It's incredible how he portrayed Elvis.

Were all wanting this to happen, every Elvis fan on the planet wants the Oscar for Austin Butler and many more awards 🏆to go to Baz, the cast and the crew. "Austin is just a gorgeous, talented, humble man!" Killing me with that Elvis voice and that charisma has Elvis written all over it.

Since being obsessed with the ELVIS movie, seeing Austin in a new interview after the press tour feels like seeing a dear old friend 😊

The time he spent just wanting everything to be right and to be able to show us the “Essence” of the real Elvis Presley. The Presley family seemed to be happy with his performance. Austin was so perfect to portray Elvis. I really loved the movie. I watched it 40 times in the movie theater, I just couldn't get enough of it. Austin had Elvis's moves spot on, he actually sang the early Elvis songs. Austin is such a sweet guy, very talented, and gorgeous. He deserves nothing but the best. What a doll! Not to mention so talented! It is very good to see an updated interview -- I think I've seen every interview he gave -- this one is very good. About that Oscar, he certainly deserves one but it is a very scary thing for an actor; what do you do for an encore? Many actors who won that award couldn't do anything that matched it after, and Austin is SO young. Hopefully he will win (I am certainly rooting for him!) and even more hopefully that he will have a long and distinguished career and beats out the Academy Award "curse".

I have watched the movie every night since I saw it- over 40 times and I will continue watching til I tire of it which will probably be never! Lol! The acting is superior - settings remarkable- costumes beautiful and accurate- directing beyond belief - Austin is too remarkable and dedicated to even describe- no words available. Of course he is easy on the eyes too! Lol! I have always loved Elvis but this renewed my love for him. When watching this movie it is as if he were still alive and right there with me. I have so many cd’s books DVD’s of Elvis. He is part of my life. Austin is so fantastic. Now a part of my life. Such a good character actor who has a bright future! I have favorite scenes one of which is when he snd Priscilla were alone in his bedroom snd they are against the wall and he kisses her. Love the look in his eyes! Then when she left him and he cries. So very good acting. Then in the car when he brought Lisa Marie back at the airport and he tells her he will love her forever. I like the scenes where you see the real man not just a singer. Anyway I will continue to watch. I have 2 copies of the dvd and a copy of the original soundtrack and watch it on HBO Max . I am very proud of Austin and appreciates his humbleness . He has not let his performance go to his head. A very humble private shy person! I respect that!! I look forward to the future to see where his career goes. I hope he gets very good parts to do his talent what is due him!!

Oh wow, this is such a great interview! I watched a lot of the press that came out in June around the film’s release, and as much as I enjoyed it, it did start to get repetitive. But since it’s been a few months now, this feels fresh and the interviewer asked great engaging questions. Austin always seems so thoughtful and grateful in all his responses as well. Really enjoyed it!
