Ohioans need to check their registrations also, because 160,000 voters were supposedly purged from the lists, due to 4-5 years of inaction. Check your registrations! And vote to remove politicians from the map committee. That would help stop the gerrymander that allows politicians to pick their voters (like Jordan's district #4).

@@ericapelz260 The issue (#1?) has been submitted to be on the November ballot. It would set up a committee that has NO politicians on it, to set up more equitable district maps. It is a step forward, hoping we can begin to ditch JJ and other districts so heavily gerrymandered.

IMO, a lot of non-Democrats are the opposite of sick of him. The hatred for Trump was probably at its peak in 2020. His favorability differential has IMPROVED 9 points since Biden's inauguration. The fact is, most Americans don't remember 90% of the bad things that happened during Trump's presidency. Probably less than 1% of people would remember unprompted that he tried to "slow the mail down" during election time 2020 to disenfranchise mail-in ballots and removed automatic mail sorters from post offices. I'll say it again, people have forgotten 90% of the bad things Trump has done. Vote, because moderates aren't nearly as sick of him as you think.

I am a registered Rep. but have never voted for trump. In the past election cycles, yard signs were heavily in favor of trump. This year I only see 4 or 5 signs. Hope this is a sign of things to come.

I live in a small town in Iowa. There is one Trump sign here. I think the people of this town care about each other, and most of them don't want to shove their politics, OR religion, down anyone else's throat. I'm hoping that most of them have felt the vibe...HOPE.

I would hope some sense of shame has returned to the buckeye state. Ohio was viewed as such a National bellwether state for so long, going with the side that won the White House in election after election. But in the Trump era, they’ve gone for Trump, not the winning ticket and I think folks in Ohio are starting to realize the consequences of doing that.

I agree with that too, it always annoyed me they never come here (and Trump is always here *gags*) and that doesn't help their case. You have to act like you care about a state to win it. If they can go to Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada a million times a month then you can stop by Ohio and other states you continue to ignore. I have to say I have been a lifelong Democrat; however, in recent years I have began to shift to being more conservative in my thinking. However, I cannot vote for most of these people until we have a return to normalcy. Even our governor is considered a RINO, and I voted for him in the last election as he is a more traditional Republican. We must rid ourselves of this MAGA nonsense! President Reagan talked about the “Shinny City Upon a Hill.” Trump imparts juvenile nicknames upon his political opponents (Republicans and Democrats alike). I’m absolutely sick of it. Though I do not support quite a few positions the Democrats stand for, I don’t think another Democratic administration is going to irreparably destroy our republic. I have to believe most are inspired by optimism, not by fear and hate.

What did it?.... I live in Ohio too and a Democrat. I've been voting for a long time, and I've rarely voted straight Democrat. I always considered straight-ticket voting to be lazy and wrong. It's highly unlikely that one party has the best candidates in terms of qualifications and experience. So, I've voted for Republicans many times - especially if they were seeking re-election and had demonstrated a willingness to lead in bipartisan efforts. (ex. Steve LaTourette, a Republican - I voted for him many times) But I just can't vote Republican right now. I'm baffled by what the GOP has become They just keep defending the indefensible. Unless a Republican candidate completely denounces Trump and the influence he's had on the party, I just can't vote for another Republican.. And, as you know, if they do denounce Trump, they don't stand a chance in their own party. So, I don't see any split tickets in my future...possibly ever.

@@juleewebb5671 my father was a Republican that switched to Democrat in his later years (with more wisdom and having realized that the Republican party was not the party of good economies, family values, etc.). My husband was born and raised in one of the reddest states in America (South Dakota)...he was a life long Republican who then also switched parties, first to Independent and in 2020 he became a Democrat that worked on Biden's campaign. I also was a Republican through undergrad business and economics, but also realized that the Republican party was not truly the party of fiscal responsibility, good economies, or doing anything for the working class....trickle down economics is a failure for ordinary Americans. So, NO, you cannot assume I am just a Democrat because I was raised that way. I came to be a Democrat by choice after observing that Democrats actually work on behalf of people like me and Republicans don't.

They should be worried. I'm an Ohioan, 3 years in the Air Force, a mother, and pro-choice. I've never voted before, this will be my first time. Ohio overwhelming voted against anti-abortion measures last year, we KNOW what's at stake for the rest of the county. There are many silence supporters ready to protect democracy from Trump.

I live in the Lower Rio Grande Valley, about 15-20 miles from the Mexico border, and I can tell you first hand that the " border crisis" is blown WAY out of proportion. The ironic thing is that in Nuevo Progresso, Mexico, there are tons of Americans going over there to get necessary meds that they can't afford in the US (NOT fentanyl). Also, there are a larger number of democratic voters here in the Lower Rio Grande Valley than the more Northern cities of Texas. Hopefully, Texas gets hit with a blue wave in November 🌊 💙 🗳 🇺🇸
