Dusty Baker is just one of those guys that you root for to win a championship because hes so Cool...reminds me of a coach from high school that teaches a health class or something and just let's you do whatever. But what I really love about him now is that he blended to a different system then he's used to...he came into a team that was full of humble players that have been developed and from other parts of the world, and accused of cheating when Im very sure that all the other teams do that ...and we love him completely....hes probably the only manager that the Astros would accept because he's so cool and down to earth...

Stand up guy DOESNT even scratch the surface of Dusty Baker ! Grew up idolizing him as he played on my team growing up in Los Angeles ! Now fast forward to 2007 I exit the military after over 13 years of dedicated and hard fought service to move to texas and fast forward a lil more and my idol coaches the Houston Astro’s ! It doesn’t get any better then that or Dusty Baker ! Love all his interviews ! Go stros World Series 2021 !!

Big Papi makes that analyst/announce team! His joy is infectious I can't help but smile. As for Dusty Baker, he's the best..unpretentious, down to earth and respects his fans. I remember taking my son to Giants spring training and Dusty was walking to the clubhouse with Bobby Bonds. Dusty spoke to the fans even taking time to briefly chat. Bobby Bonds on the other hand didn't even acknowledge the fans. Dusty noticed Bond's behavior and told him "Man you got to be nice to the fans." Dusty is the real deal.⚾👍💜😺

I was among the many Astro fans who was so disappointed when A.J. Hinch was let go as manager, but I've finally come around to see that Dusty has become the best possible replacement and the players now love and respect him. And he certainly outmanaged Cora by a mile in the Boston series. He's so cooool, so let's go Stros ... get these next 4 wins for him.

I've been a lifelong Stros fan and would root for them no matter who was managing but Dusty was the perfect manager for this time and this team. I liked him before but love him now. Not just because he is guiding my favorite team to the WS but as someone who has been a coach of young men, and having to manage interns at work there is a lot to learn from him about leadership and relating to those you manage.
