Let's be clear: It's not just women who sometimes need to get out of violent marriages. There are men too who NEED to be able to get out of violent marriages. The kids do NOT want to have their parents violent towards each other nor for their parents to dislike each other. Please do NOT stay in a violent relationship/marriage no matter what your gender or how many kids you have. Your kids KNOW what's going on. They can feel it. I'm from a "dysfunctional" family. My father left his first wife because he wanted to be a family man and she wanted to party. The agreed to divorce and stay friends FOR the children. My mother and father NEVER spoke negatively about his first wife and any of the kids and we even went on a family vacation with the first wife and her baby from another father coming too. THAT'S how you keep a family together. Like Harris being "Mamala". It's FAMILY. It's what you make it to be.

I will believe that young women are going to turn out for Harris and save us all when I see it. I'm glad Democrats finally started showing up to vote in 2018, 2020, and 2022. I really and truly am. But endurance isn't our strong suit. Republicans see voting as a duty. Democrats treat it like dating: subject to mood. Getting lots of new registrations is good. Getting them to their polling places is another task. I'd be delighted to be pleasantly surprised, of course. But the polling suggests that Trump's base is rock solid and totally committed. The only variable is how many of these new Democrats show up to vote.
