They don't go on TV shows that often, most of their content is made in-house, which gives them much more control and helps them relax at the same time. Like with NCT Life, all the Vlives, and the thriving NCT Daily channel content since 2018 on RU-vid, they are on camera but among somewhat familiar in-house staff, without the need to fear seniority of another artist or the tastes of a broadcasting company, and know that the production team has their and only their best interests at heart. Perfect for unleashing more of their personalities. At the same time, they have had the biggest shoes to fill yet, the heaviest weight on their shoulders as the future of SM. Especially 127, much more so than Dream. These boys are so careful and proper to their core, focused on music and their career. That sense of responsibility to the brand and themselves keeps them grounded and collected, but it is also an undeniable source of stress. When they first debuted, NCT was marked as having little variety sense or being unclose with each other, because of how stiff they were on camera when not performing. They had not had time to be so free and wild, they had just fought the the debut war. Over the last two years that has faded a lot. And lastly, I feel so thankful that they don't let the hardships shake their ground and instead make it as their strength. This goes to show that even though we get to see so many of their interactions and vulnerable moments through a screen, there are still so many things we don't know about them; just as it should be. By agreeing to be idols, they agreed to expose to many things that would otherwise be personal, yet it somehow comforts me that part of their bond as a group will always be just theirs. It's just as Doyoung said, "visible happenings and invisible emotions." We will never really understand the meaning behind the shared hugs and tears and vulnerable moments between the members, no matter how many people try to analyze it. Those moments will always be theirs and that's the beauty of it.

I just wanted to stress how great of a friend Doyoung is. Whenever holidays come or any special occasions, he always bring the foreigner members (mostly Yuta, Ten, Mark and Johnny) to his home bcs he didnt want them to spend holidays alone. That's why johnny have mentioned about him and Gongmyung being close. Aside from Taeyong, Doyoung also learned Japanese bcs Yuta said he doesnt have anyone to speak using his native language so Doyoung told him he can speak to him in Japanese and so Doyoung studied hard in japanese. He treats the younger ones (jeno, jaemin, haechan and jisung in smrookies) like his real brothers and often bring them out to play with them.

I broke down when Doyoung mentioned fate. How this path that they are on, to be with each other, it's fate. It makes you think about your own relationships, and the friendships that you have and the ones that you've lost. His words made me put into my own perspective. It's interesting to think about how they have to receive the serious message, have a few minutes to contemplate what they just heard and then make a serious message to their other friend. It creates a very intensive, but honest and raw environment. I truly love this group, particularly because of the members' chemistry. They have a bond that is really beautiful and not easy to explain, and when they get to do these types of things, it only creates a more closer, stronger bond. Really beautiful to see.

All true nctzens know that despite the image/persona Doyoung's made for himself being savage and all is only a small fraction of his true self. He's one of the most selfless and inspiring idols I've ever seen. if people actually care more about doyoung as himself and paid attention to the member's message to him during interviews or fansigns, they'll realised, every member always said how considerate he is, he always thinking about others more than himself, help other member, so kind, and have warm heart. he always treated other member without thinking much about it. if only i'm better at video editing you could get a long video of other member praise him and feel grateful about it. but people don't highlight that part of him and make more video of him being teased or savage, when the only reason he getting teased is because he is so kind, and the member know he wont really angry about that, he just reacted cutely. so yeaahh this frustrate me sooo much because not all people could see how precious this boy is
I'm korean nctizen and surprised that international fans didnt highlight this side of Doyoung, cause in K fandom this is the main reason why we love him. Everytime he appeared on Nct's Night Night radio as guest (Do! Digest), we've always got SO emotional with every words he said and we even made analects of DY lol. He's so pure, considerate and warm hearted.

yeah, you could definitely see there is something that has been playing on his mind for a long time.. maybe their personalities clash a bit and, as a result, they've stuggled to find common ground and understand each other. i think being so young plays into it. they still have so much learning and growing up to do. hopefully, these videos might be a turning point for them. they won't change overnight, but maybe it will start cogs ticking and things will start slowly shifting into place. that is what growing up is all about, after all.
personally I think rather than him thinking he did something wrong to Mark he thinks because of their situation where they are constantly together it is inevitable that mistakes could have been made, so he wanted to tell Mark that if he has ever done such a thing he wants to apologize. Just seeing Doyoung this serious made me weak and emotional. He is someone who can't show his feelings easily, and those are the ones who feel the deepest emotions. I hope people stop misunderstanding him. He's the sweetest and deserve the world.

Dotae's friendship is really so pure, like the way they always care for each other, Doyoung always telling Taeyong to be careful and Taeyong always making sure Doyoung has everything he needs, their constant bickering and under all that their love and respect for each other... It's really obvious how grateful they are to have each other and I think that's just so beautiful
this is a deep content from NCT. i didn't expect that they'll be doing this. I mean, it's too personal even i can hardly speak my true feelings to people, esp those who are closer to my heart. This in another level. It proves the true brotherhood and family. I really stan the right group
I truly agree It’s actually sooooooooo hard to tell sb u r close to your true feelings. Once my friends asked and mood went like very deep and I didn’t know what to 😂 I kept going on saying ehmmmm But ist really good to experience something like this. I respect these guys.

I can tell that Taeyong has always been keeping all those words for Doyoung in his heart and this video is just an opportunity for him to really get to tell it to Doyoung. He appreciates and cares for Doyoung so much just as how Doyoung cares for him. Their relationship is much more than the “love-hate relationship” as what fans always define it. All these years, Taeyong always states Doyoung as his best friend and thanks DY for being there for him whenever he gets the chance which I’m very glad because DY deserves to hear how the other loves and treasures him too. The fact that DY was the one appeared in all of Taeyong’s most personal songs like Yestoday, Peace of Mind, Switch Off really shows how important Doyoung is to Taeyong. You can see that they are two of the most sensitive members in NCT, and somehow they have become each other number one emotional supporter. They have their own way of caring and showing love to each other. Although DY is his dongsaeng, Taeyong treats DY as his friend, as someone he can rely on. I feel like when he is with DY, he lets himself relax, he doesn’t have to be the leader, doesn’t have to pretend anything. Instead, they are just themselves, talk about their own feelings and concern, comfort each other, give the strength that each other need. When DY said “Because of various things with many visible happenings and invisible emotions, we got closer to each other...” I understand now why Taeyong said their friendship is kinda awkward. It’s awkward because it’s hard to fully explain their relationship only through camera lens. Their friendship right now is made because they both continuously work on their friendship. They have their differences but they try to understand and empathise with each other. Another interesting thing is their relationship has two different sides: Dotae bicker a lot (like out of nowhere lol) but it actually shows that they’re really comfortable with each other. Sometimes I feel like it’s just their way of getting the other’s attention. But at the end of the day, DoTae are also the type of having deep conversations with each other about their feelings and things going on in their life which we just can’t see it on camera. They don’t have to prove anything to anyone because they already understand each other so well. Taeyong and Doyoung sometimes have their own burden, but they always make sure to lend their shoulders when one needs. I just feel so happy that in a cruel industry like Kpop, Taeyong and Doyoung somehow found each other, debuted in the same group and became best friends. Their friendship is pure and precious and I admire their friendship so much. Hope their friendship will last forever just like their promise to go to the nursing house together and what Doyoung said to Taeyong “In the end, it’s you.” P/s: As someone has followed them since the SMRookies days, I got so emotional when watching this video so I’m really sorry that my comment’s so long and messy. But just want to point out one more thing: when it comes to expressing their love, DoTae have their different ways. Doyoung takes care of TYong through little things like making sure he stayed safe, calmed him down when he’s nervous,...and the MAMA hug really showed that. Doyoung may not always say it out loud but just by all the things he does for Taeyong, we know that he really cares a lot for Taeyong. While Taeyong expresses his love for Doyoung more likely through words. Taeyong never failed to tell DY how he is thankful for everything DY does. He wants appreciate DY’s hard work, he wants to show the world how talented, important and special DY is. Looking back to the Kick it MV commentary video, Taeyong said “I was gonna choose all Doyoung’s scenes though” when Doyoung asked him why he just said “Ah, there’s no reason.” But it’s just Taeyong wanted to appreciate DY’s effort. Isn’t it beautiful having someone beside sincerely cares for you and always makes sure you feel loved and appreciated because that’s what DoTae are to each other. It’s probably a long ass essay but I just want to appreciate DoTae and their friendship.
Can I just say that the editing for this series is so clever. Taeyong mentions here that he always wanted to tell Doyoung these things to his face and the editing is done in such a way to imply that there is a conversation happening between the two. For those who understand cinematography, the DP and cam ops even shot the members in keeping up with 180, as if they were both an set sitting across from each other and I just think that that is so clever and makes this series all the more meaningful. There is no music, no distractions, just words. And the silence that follows at the end of the testimonials is so profound. The production and post production crew for NCT is not given enough credit, so hats off to them. Thank you so much for providing meaningful content for us to watch and for putting thought into your shots and editing. Just.. wow. The production crews sacrifice just as much as the boys do. NCT is amazing from the talent, to the production/post production crews and producers. Thank you all.
NCT always thanks the staff for their hard work! They are also the reason why get so much content from them. And we now always get subtitles in their videos! So yeah, definitely hats off to the staff.
