South African musician Bulelwa 'Zahara' Mkuthukana was honoured by family and friends at a memorial service at the Rhema Bible Church in Randburg on 14 December 2023. Media personality Somizi Mhlongo paid tribute to the late singer.
He spoke for the whole south africa we are very proud of him asixolele uzahara vele besimubiza ngesidakwa singazi abhekene nakho ukuthi kungakanani and indeed we never help her
Thanks Somizi for speaking from the heart and leaving no stone unturned. People might judge you but you have accepted your mistakes and apologized while she was still alive
A touching tribute Somizi. So pertinent in so many arenas. Perhaps there is so much collective trauma among South Africans that most do not know how or if to help. May mercy prevail in the industry.
I am definitely changing my ways honestly Zahara’s life really taught me something honestly and I want to walk away and use it boldly… it taught me that being compassionate goes a long way even Christ taught us to love one another and be each other’s keeper…where there is love and compassion ,Judgment has no space to grow. Rest in perfect peace Zahara. Your memories will live on. Resurrection is promised (RIP)
This needs to go viral... with all the troubles, we have become very hateful, bitter and negative in South Africa. We need to start looking out for each other or at the least not being mean and the whole country can start changing
From this speech, dont judge people, hes an eloquent speaker who spoke the truth and said his mind which resonated with most people ,who are objective. Kudos
Somizi is so right. I remember seeing a few episodes of Zaharas reality show and she was going through it shame. Municipality switching off her electricity, her mom needing to navigate loan sharks because they had borrowed money to help Zahara out…she was alone! None of her music industry peers were there (from what I saw). Kubuhlungu shame 😭
Especially the social media must stop praising the down fall its so sad how effective it is as people loose their lives . Rest well queen well said somgaga
Honestly speaking somizi spoke my mind and words I always cried about fairness and how this world especially us south Africans how we treated Zahara about false stories we wrote wrong things thinking we are clever enough now she is gone hurt by us who pretend to be her homies 💔🇿🇦we are bad people indeed 😭😭😭😭😭
When you know better you do better . Somizi thank you for this message cause in life we have people we know who are probably going through this but we fail to be there for them fully when they need it .
Thank you Somizi mtanami you young people now I dont know botho ba lona bana ba rona its like you all knowing my the Spirit of God realy rebuke you tha nk you for being truethfull my child
I hope people have heard what you said and they will start their attitude of loving someone so much when their dead not just hear and also copy from you how you traeted your mother when she was still alive you really impressed me keep it up 🎉
Well done teach educate our nation we have lost it in life. Show love reach out just a simple call or hang releases tension. Thanks for your speech you've educted even our government and the nation. If we all contributed something she was going to be in a better space. We have become a nation of making fun of people downfalls. And forgetting tomorrow it could me. Let's do better South Africa. We all need to apologize as South Africans. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
I hear you my Bru and so far I learn something from what you say Somizi, thanks myself I never say things I will always bottle up. May you talk to your friends as whole in the music industry please to stand up and help Sechaba Padi, please guys he was once a friend to you,he done good things for some of you ,let's forget what he said at Lundi s funeral, life goes on guys, find him and help him , I am too broke to help him, I never met him I only listen to his music and so started to like him like the rest of you guys.❤❤❤❤thanks Somisi that speech is an eye opener to me personally.
Wow 😢 Thank you You are sooo Right ❤ I hope Everyone who has heard this Will follow your words So Special Thank You Thank you God Bless and May We All Take Care and Learn to Take the Time (it takes a minute to send How Are You Doing Thinking Of You ) God Bless 💖💖👍🙏
We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone💯👊. We are all going through alot and there are demons we all fight demons that we don't talk about. Let's just pray and be kind to one another ❤🙏. It hurts to some of those who had power to help her, but didn't even try 😢..
this is what we are going through every single day. friends and people that are close to us are treating us badly(like as a joke). but it's very painful...
This country need people like Somizi, we all need repentance, the system damaged our mentality to the point where by we suppose to support or build one another, we destroy each other, the system rejoices when we are not dominating or mastering our gifts or talents, just like Tyger Woods, Bill Gate the list is long. If we can just empower one another, this country would be far better than it is. Thank you Somizi for your honest truth, you are a leader nyanam ndikuthanda izandyondyo zemvula❤
Somizi, you are so right... regarding speeches at a funeral. Give the flowers to the person while they are alive. Appreciation towards each other is now. Not after death. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. Let's do better. God bless your thoughts. Live life in abundance. The Crip , the Cross and Crown is Jesus. Live under Grace and love.
