Thank you! I hadn't told the boys about this event until the day of, since my work schedule was subject to change right up until the last second. We barely made it as the news crew was packing up. The movie was just moments away from starting; I think they held it long enough for us to get inside! There was a slightly longer news segment where you can also glimpse Zak. Brandon recorded that one by filming it off the screen with his phone. I bagged this off their website, but am still looking for a direct copy of the longer one. A couple of cool bits of trivia: this was at the Shoals Theatre, which was a moviehouse when I was a kid, but was converted to a stage for plays shortly after I left the Zodiac Theatre board. Now it's had a new screen installed for films once again. So, for me, it was a cinema first and a stage second, but for the boys it was the other way around. They were actually extras during the Skid Row number when I directed Little Shop of Horrors in October 2012, so they were watching Ghostbusters on a stage where they've actually performed. Zak, aged ten, was also my assistant puppeteer for the largest Audrey II's tongue while I handled the jaw and gross body movements. We parked Brandon's previous Ecto in almost this exact same spot to promote that show, and hid some Ghostbusters Easter eggs on the set to acknowledge the fact that both movies came out in the mid 80s and featured Rick Moranis and Bill Murray. One of the red telephones for the non-movie song "Call Back in the Morning" was given the phone number 555-2368, though only the cast could see that tiny detail.

Thanks! I've visited Canada, almost forty years ago now. I was fourteen and my school chorus went on a grueling bus trip from Alabama to... Toronto maybe? I didn't get to see as much as I'd have liked, but the country still has a fond spot in my heart. Circa 1998, I played a Bob McKenzie ripoff in a couple of TV spots for the local hockey team, most of whom were Canadian. Part of my costume was a fig leaf button that I'd originally bought on that 1984 trip.
