My mother made a point about why NewJeans stands out and its because they dont try so hard. Theyre just chilling and comfortable in their wackiness and whimsical concepts which makes them all the more cooler. Theyre not too in-your-face. I really like it ❤

Funny fact : the old man in the market scene of super shy was actually didn't know there was shooting going on. So he was kinda walking pass newjeans while dancing & in the middle of shooting then realized there was camera ahead of him and awkwardly going back to where he was but right at the position where hanni was dancing 😂 and hanni meet his eyes and super shyly break her character & smile to him, super awkward lol. And he made to the final cut (although the director cut the half 2nd of it where he going back to where he was). So I think that is why and other things too why the market scene super short. Bcs probably so many NG scenes lol

NewJeans is something I've never seen before. Huge credits to their creative team because their Music Videos are AMAZING. I really thought Ditto wouldn't be outdone, but they've just done that with both New Jeans and Super Shy.

One thing I love about NEWJEANS is how much improvement they has made since debut. It’s honestly insane how much they have improved in dancing, singing, and performing.

I just love how for Super Shy they went to find a real life location to shoot the MV. I bet most of us are a bit tired of CGI and green screens. This video is such a refreshment!

I feel like the message they were trying to deliver in super shy was that their role as idols is to steal your attention away as much as possible but in reality life goes on and they are only background noise at the end of the day. very meta very newjeans

Those shots in the park at the end are so unique. They give you the pov like you’re someone sitting in the grass watching. I didn’t even notice how much of the dancers were covered until you mentioned it because it felt so authentic

It's like every time I watch Jordan's videos, and then watch the music vid, an editing soul enters my body. I'm like 'yeah what a cool transition, the zooms look insane' thanks to him

The fact they actually filmed in a real supermarket with people that have no idea whats going on 😭

I feel like the super shy video is an artistic expression of the fact that, even if you're feeling all these dramatic things inside (love/a crush), other people might not notice and are just living their own lives. Even if you think you're being obvious, not everyone can see from their POV. I mean, in the whole video they're doing this choreographed dancing and people are playing chess, exercising, working, arguing, proposing, getting hit by a bus (lol), etc. Also, the weird and long camera shots really emphasize the importance of perspective, even to notice something big, bright, and out of place.

The bus didn't run anyone over, it braked hard because a cyclist ran into the table or cart full of flowers. So instead of waiting they just sponteously hopped out (true E behavior even tho they're all i's) and had a flashmob moment! There's no negativitry like that in NewJeans videos! 🐰🐰

new jeans is just so unique and they cant even try that hard, no one expected for a kpop girl group to make a music video about them turning into POWER PUFF GIRLS and getting POWERS. no one also expected for them make another video about just them dancing and hanging out together, this is why i love them sm.

The music video theme is literally "Powerpuff Girls" with sound effects, colorful outfits, the notes, and beat! Reminds me of the cartoon... NewJeans is just stepping up the game, I love them.

I just LOVE the hyperrealism they are injecting into their music videos. Seeing the camera crew, the editing process, people living their everyday lives, the not-so-flattering angles… it feels very human.

The fact that this was filmed here in portugal is so magical to me like the city of lisbon is soooo magical and goes really well with the song

Super Shy is the definition of knowingly breaking the rules. You need to be an extremely talented director to do that - because not only do you need to know the rules, you also need to understand how to break them in a way that actually *works*. It's absolutely brilliant!!

New jeans kind of reminds me of y2k, when they would mix cartoon and reality together. Someone said they are whimsical, and I agree! as someone in their mid 20’s, ex golden era kpop fan, new jeans is nostalgic. I also heard that most kpop groups are adding more English because of nationwide fans. “coooooooooooool with you.” “You don’t even know know my name do you.” Etc

What separates Ador and other K-pop companies is just down to attention to detail and appreciation of every aspect of making a K-pop group. They try to be unique and different in every aspect.

I love how perfectly imperfect all their stuff are. I think that’s what makes it “New.” They are Doing things a lot of kpop producers are nervous to do. New jeans videos are awkward and sometimes don’t look scripted but that’s what makes it interesting and relatable.

I really love how New Jeans film their videos especially this one. The way they filmed this mv makes me feel like anyone can film this. For example an ordinary person who wants to make a music video but they aren’t surrounded by expensive or high tech a set to film their music video and no people around arguing or proposing to ruin their shots. They film everything in these shots and that’s what’s makes it feel so natural and relatable. They make it seem like you can film something like this too and that you don’t need huge sets, and advanced cameras to make a mv like this. I’m Not saying that K-pop groups who do this aren’t good I love those types of mv’s too. Hope this makes sense 😅

NEWJEANS is called NEWJEANS for a reason. It’s a refreshing start to the KPOP industry. It is bringing the modern and old styles and technology to a positive level. The songs are catchy and relatable. It’s a balance. Love them or hate them. They very different from your typical Kpop group for this generation. The dance on each song is always getting better and better each song. It’s satisfying to watch over and over.

also in the "new jeans" video theres a part where their powerpuff selves are in an older MV dancing to their song hype boy!

I think what they’re trying to do was kinda like opening a new sitcom series and the song new jeans was an intro+opening ost then super shy was introduction scene to the series with all the shots of the surrounding and kinda introducing the main cast in musical plays style. Super cool.

For 3D animators, Blender (the software that they use in the first VM) is one of the most loved software! Because is free and most of the people are gonna start with it ❤

I think the idea behind the MV is: I'm supershy but in reality I shouldn't care much because I can be literally dancing inside a fish market and people will be keep on with their life and problems. There is no point in being supershy because life goes on around us...

i also saw that super shy was an interpretation and visual representation of how it feels to have a crush on someone, a person getting run over, people getting rejected, couples having conflict, even not caring you are in a freakin fish market and deciding to dance lol - its like the world melts away and feels perfect and you would never stop to notice things like that when you are smitten

Their art director/executive producer is absolutely amazing. As much as I appreciate the girls, I have even greater appreciation for all the work that ADOR did behind the scenes for these MVs and these concepts. Salute to the team(s) behind NewJeans. Wonderful art from all of them.

i think supershy is making people realize the other end of how people do trends like dance covers (e.g. kpop in public) and how people feel so comfortable filming themselves doing something bc its fun regardless of whether something else is happening in the scene that contradicts it (like the couple fighting) and how people normalized doing and filming their stuff in public that even people out of that content are also now comfortable with filming others even without consent (like the back shots). I have heard of cases where flash mobs and dance covers in public just get in the way and cause trouble for others but are cut in a way that it only looks fun making it a trend disregarding a.people who dont want to be filmed, b.who are having a moment/inconvenience or just c. going about their day wanting peace

FINALLY someone understanding the comedic style in Super Shy... there's complete chaos and unhappy / unpretty things happening around NewJeans and they're just dancing and having fun, it was shockingly funny to realize the couple arguing and everyone looking at them except NewJeans that were completely focused on their choreo, then the guy proposing and getting rejected and everyone not caring hahahaha at the same time it could mean that no matter what happens in your life NewJeans are going to be happy and bubbly, like cheerleading for you (and they were on cheerleader outfits when the couple was arguing). About the Powerpuff Girls I really hate how not so many people are impressed by it, I mean when I saw: Warner Bros. I was like: "WHAT?! Are you for real?"... These girls are so fresh and new, they already have their own style and sound

I believe the video of the second second was produced by a portuguese studio. They recorder it here in Portugal. An old college schoolmate of mine was part of the production :D she's even in the video!

What I love in their mv is that its not polished and perfect as you see in most mvs in kpop, they also look like they genuinely have fun

They are shooting in open nature and MVs have no or minimal CGI. No fabricated sets like other KPOP MVs. And songs are so smooth. This really sets them apart. Same goes for their other MVs except for the giant 🍪&💿. No wonder they're taking over.
