Nice imagery, but to translate "Afrikaners" as "South Africans" is inaccurate. "South African" just means from South Africa and it can apply to a whole bunch of different ethnicities/peoples who live here. The Afrikaners are a specific ethnic group who live here and the word applies just to this group, not British-descended, Bantu, Khoisan, Indian or Cape Coloured South Africans.
