Sonja is such a queen honestly. She didn’t get picked at first but she didn’t get bitter about it, instead she got her man to like her naturally with her personality and surprised him with her charms. So she and Minjae kinda hit it off early. And she didn’t lose her cool with any of the guys. She took everything in stride and worked with it. She’s even the first to get kissed without ever even winning a game or getting a “ramyun and chill” night. She skirting around all the standards and expectations of the show and getting her man essentially without the help of the motivators and instigators of the show lmao QUEEN

Erica isn’t wrong. I think that all the boys like Tiffany the most because she’s close to Korean standards. All the guys are clearly willing to give the others a chance but I defiantly think there is favoriting happening

So glad Dan is a straightforward person. Some other guy would have gone around the bush trying to butter it up with words like "Oh no!" "We didn't mean to do it." Get in there Dan! That's a real man.

I’m just going to state my personal opinion: Tiffany is the most basic one in the group and she’s got attitude as she’s always commenting on everything she doesn’t like about the guys. Don’t get why so many of them are into her. To me Bella is hands down the best, followed by Sonja. P.S. Erika just seems mad that no one likes her. Even the most objectively beautiful person isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, because beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Glad Dan said something

My man Chan really showed us some game with Bella. I was like 😲 Really enjoyed the panel’s reactions throughout the episodes and they seemed to be right about Chan- he knows when to shoot 😆. I agree with everyone; Bella is the most likeable! Love Sabrina too

I have to make a confession: I replayed the whole sequence with Minjae and Sonja at the end, with him "forgetting" his jacket to leave after everyone, her looking at him longingly and finally the secret kiss. They're so cute together! My favourites! 🥰

Erika and Tiffany literally have the most typical “girly” annoying behaviours that we are generalised to have 🤦‍♀️ I really love Sabrina she is the youngest yet she is much more mature than Erika. she is the only one who wasn’t picked by anyone from the beginning until now ( the blonde girl has a guy now) no one picked her at all nor showed any interest she never even got to pick someone yet she is so cool about it and was even comforting Erika when she was complaining that no one likes her 🙄

Bella is truly a Queen for men, because through out the show everyone was talking about language barrier with Chen but not Bella, and she's just chilling

i was not expecting them to have that conversation about race!! wow that would've never happened in singles inferno (there was a lot of colorism in season 1!!) Also, as the episodes continue, I like Dan more and more, he's like a girl's girl kind of guy - very comfortable to be around and over time you start having romantic feelings about him ^^

This is seriously my favorite dating show. If Bella has a fan club I'm officially a member. Hope poor Dan gets a W next episode some way.

I feel like Sonja and Minjae’s relationship has the least drama and they both seem so suited to each other. The kiss was so sudden but I’m not complaining, it was cute! Chan and Bella give off friend vibes. They were both just being polite and tried to make the experience interesting for the other.

Tiffany's questions about language first was to see if he was into Erica but didn't choose her because of language, and then she continues to ask about language to really check if he actually likes her or just picked her because of language. She might actually like him.

I find it weird how whenever Bella is in a room with a guy, the reactors always bring up/insinuate sex but when Tiffany was in the room with chang hak the reactors barely mentioned sex at all. we have no idea if bella and kj did anything in the previous ep or not but it’s become like a joke to mention sex whenever Bella is with someone in the room. black women are stereotyped as being easy etc etc so constantly mentioning sex whenever she pairs up with a guy isn’t good. To be honest Bella is grown and can do what she wants to do. she shouldn’t have to not do something just because people will assume things about her. but I do think it’s weird to mention sex and make it seem like she’s easy every time she’s in the room with a guy. Edit: i didn’t mention it in my comment before but I’m not just talking about the night with kj, I’m also talking about when she was in the car van with Chan where the reactors were bringing up the “home run” jokes. overall what I’m saying is that the “home run” jokes don’t need to become a constant thing said about bella everytime she’s with a guy

We need more MJ Sonja moments please 👀They are so cute. Like most of the time they are on their own. They even came to the room together which means that they were together outside. The fact that they are willingly spending time together and seem really interested in each other without any specific rooms and stuff... and that last scene?!?! We need more of them. I just hope the show pds won't ruin their couple for drama.

Erika, don’t chase anyone who isn’t interested in chasing you back. It’s clear that Chang-hak is much more comfortable speaking in Korean. I’m glad Dan showed Erika that rejection is never fun even for him but you don’t have to sulk about it.

I'm seriously so surprised that these girls haven't been interested in Dan, he is seriously such a gentleman and he is really handsome as well. So glad Sabrina is starting to see it now.

Okay, to erika's point race is definitely a factor, as is language, and I think that's one of the points of finding men with different levels of proximity to international exposure. Chang, barely speaks English and has probably never left korea, meaning his type would most likely be a typical Korean looking woman. Dan being an American born and raised Korean man, has been exposed to diversity etc and is probably the most comfortable around different races. So I feel like that was intentional to see if that influences the way the guys choose their dates.

Sonja and Minjae had chemistry from the get go, I knew it would only be a matter of time till they couple up😂 They're my favorite so far!! (Plus Chan and Bella, they were really cute too xD)

I honestly like Bella and Sabrina, the vibes I am getting from them are just optimistic...you know the type that makes the most out of anything even though things are not going their way. Bella being the go getter and confident bean (lol girl didn't get discouraged when she found out that kj liked someone else instead she went in and gave it her all. So, I’m all for Minjae and Sonya. The way she was standing by the door was a clear sign that she knew what he was about to do and it was adorable. Bella is a queen but I kind of agree that it doesn’t seem like any of the guys are seriously considering her. They do seem to like hanging out with her though. While as a whole, I agree with what Erika said about Korean men’s preferences, she was talking to the wrong one in Dan and that wasn’t the issue in her case at all. I’m glad that Brix and Jin did acknowledge the truth in her statement. Though a bit sad, I can also understand how that has never been Megan’s experience. I just wish she had prefaced her statement with it being her personal opinion. Poor KJ although I am curious why he likes Tiffany so much when he said he wanted an ambitious woman and she’s taking a break from working right now.

Being in Korea for 5 years, I can definitely say Erika's claims are not wrong or invalid. Megan's experience, after following her for various years, seems to be vastly different from the black or black passing women I met here. There IS an aspect of colorism in Korea whether we want to acknowledge it or not. While it doesnt apply to every single person, and while openness towards foreigners is way better than 8 years ago, there is still a majority of colorism, which isnt necessarily realized by the less effected people. POCs have similar experiences but I often found that a black passing woman next to a lighter woman have very different experiences. It definitely wasnt worded well by Erika, as she was relating this issue with her not being picked by the guys she liked and while I do believe colorism is an expect in Korea in general, it was not the ONLY reason Erika wasn't picked. 🤷🏽‍♀️ BUT When you live in korea long enough the way that colorism does creep into your mind faster than anything else and the way it EATS your confidence is unbelievable and this happens because its such a common experience as a POC (but not the only experience).

I’m a Bella Stan but Imma need people to not do to much on Erica’s name. While I do agree the race issue isn’t as prevalent here. There some racial undertones. The fact that most of the guys can’t remember Bella’s name even though she one of the most prominent characters says a lot. Erica has every right to feel gloomy about Chang but it’s also obvious that she’s not the type of girl he’s looking for. As a black women it is very easy to bring up race because when it comes to dating that is the first thing black women must ask themselves. Her proximity to whiteness doesn’t matter at the end of the day because she is still a black women. So her feelings in my Opinion are valid. I don’t think they’re necessarily relevant to the situation but she’s allowed to be insecure and gloomy. Different personality types deal with situations differently. We can’t expect people to react to things the same Way and we definitely can’t compare 2 black women from different backgrounds. Practice kindness cuz I know the majority of you would’ve handled the situation way worse. ❤

If he chooses Tiffany, it's interesting that even though it's supposed to be an international dating show, the boys gravitate toward the most Korean-like non-Korean (the way she dresses, behaves, and she can even speak Korean)

This episode was rough. I think Erika isn’t being picked because she rejected Dan. The guys probably don’t want to risk being embarrassed like that. Bella is still my #1 girl. I think she has the most chemistry with KJ, but he’s moved on to Tiff. Can’t wait to see what happens with Bella & Chan. Sonya & Minjae are an obvious fit so I’m not surprised they hit it off. Still waiting for Sabrina & my man Dan to have their moment, either together or with other contestants.

I think Erika had some validity in her point. There is a tendency around the world for men (or just people in general) to favor light-skinned women over darker skinned women. We see it in media, on movies, etc. That is definitely a reality BUT I don't think she should've brought up that or used it as an excuse in her situation. Also she does have some privilege being a lighter-skinned black woman and she even admitted like she's used to getting lots of attention. I think it comes down to personality and attitude.

Upset that everyone's just dismissing Erika's claims of korean men having a preference for Korean or white women. She was right, they're very much influenced by the eurocentric beauty standards through media. Even idols are constantly made to look paler and pale skin is favored in Korean beauty. Erika's claims aren't baseless, and she wasn't even calling anyone out saying "you all are racist" she simply made an observation that it looks like all the men are going for what she expected them to go for in her experience as a mixed race woman in Korea. And the fact that people happen to like Bella, a black woman, right now doesn't negate the pattern of actions beforehand in Erika and I'm sure many many other black/brown people's experience in Korea. I mean, would this show even exist if they didn't think Koreans historically have been against mixing cultures in relationships? I think she could have worded it better, definitely. But she simply shared the way she felt like it had to do with her race and they just seemed to get defensive as if she was calling them racist, which she didn't. I know they wanna believe they're all super open and welcoming of anyone, but everyone has internal bias and that's one that's very prevalent in korean culture and I don't think Erika was wrong to express her concern. I wish they could've listened to her better and heard her perspective of why she would think that's the case based on her experience. Even if they felt like they weren't discriminating against her bc of race, they could've expressed that sentiment differently instead of completely dismissing her and even blaming her bc she didn't wanna go to the room with a guy she didn't like. Women owe you nothing! And to label her difficult bc she didn't want to ramyeun and chill with you is also wrong! Also, to the host who said she didn't experience that in Korea, I'm so glad that your experience was so easy breezy. But I have a hard time believing that is the experience of many other black/brown girls in Korea. Lastly, all of the women on this show are gorgeous. This experience is fun to watch, but even so it is so skewed from what a real person's experience would be in the real world. What if these women weren't skinny, with flat tummies, perfect skin, beautiful hair, and flawless smiles? What Erika says she has experienced and feels she is experiencing in the house is valid and I bet she's only felt a fraction of what women who don't look like her have experienced.

So Tiffany confirms my suspicions tonight. She is quiet and "laid back" because she is insecure and lacks confidence. It's not because she is picky, which I never thought, as the hosts assume. Tiffany avoids rejection by pretending she isn't interested in a guy. She lets them chase her, avoiding any risks while permitting her the power to reject the guy for any reason. But once a guy chooses her, she gets the affirmation the guy is interested in her via repetitive questions.

Erica is so weird, because she was only pinning after one guy and when he rejected her, she made it seem like every guy wasn't interested in her. She pulled out the race card "is it because I'm half black 🥺" girl bffr Bella is fully black and dark skin but you don't see her using the race card, you just lack personality also😒 talking about how everyone wants her outside the show, girl like she literally rejected Dan and now that she's being rejected, she wants us to feel sorry for her 💀

I think the reason Erika was so chill with saying all that to Dan is because he’s from overseas. Her saying “it’s different” when Dan said he chose her is because he already has a wider look and range of beauty it’s not the typical Korean standard of beauty because hes from America. I believe two things can be true at once, yes the points that she was making were valid but they weren’t necessary within her situation.

Erika's feelings are valid and we shouldn't dismiss it. Her experience outside this setting will be vastly different. I agree with what she said but at the same time, it's a little insensitive to say no one likes her because of that when Dan is right there. He asked you out and you said no. Imagine how he feels. No one is showing interest in Dan and you don't see him sulking. He's having fun and allowing his personality to show bit by bit.

I know erikas situation on this show is misunderstood in her perspective, but I think megan saying things like "im black and everyone loves me in korea" is a bit insensitive and kind of invalidates people who sometimes have issues being a dark skinned, black person in Korea. Anyways, bella is a delight and I'm glad she's doing well on the show!
