Interview with Crispin Howarth from the National Gallery of Australia and Kevin Conru Curator of the exhibition and author of the eponymous book.
This spectacular exhibition presented in the elegant Lempertz showrooms, near the Sablon district of Brussels gather outstanding works of art coming from private collections mainly formed in the mid twentieth century. Most of the pieces presented in the exhibition can be ranked among the finest extant examples we now have on record.
“Ancestral Visions. Papua New Guinea Art from the Sepik-Ramu” on view from May 24 until June 28, 2019 at Lempertz, Brussels.
For more information about the exhibition and book, don’t mis the Summer issue of Tribal Art magazine that features the article “Papua New Guinea. Ancestral Visions. Art from the Sepik-Ramu” by Kevin Conru.
The book “Sepik Ramu Art” published by Conru Editions, Brussels is available from tribalart.store/Sepik-Ramu-Art as well as from Vasco & Co in Brussels and Librairie Mazarine in Paris.
Thank you to Crispin Howarth, Kevin Conru and Lempertz team for the nice collaboration.

Well done Crispin, good to see you are well.. amazing collection. The back drop of Peckforton Castle would just top off the visual aesthetics of the art. Dont you think?
