I was in a pub once with my late wife and a friend haveing a meal there was a guy on a table having a drink once he drank one pint he was less then a few feet from the bar out came his card tap and paid for his drink he did the at least five or six times while we where there .I said to the lady who owned the bar she said that's all I see theses days tap tap tap tap .I said if you pay buy cash you know what your spending and she said years ago you knew the punters and talked to them when you where doing there change for there drink order now your lucky to get a few words out of them .she also said that thay had to pay a fee to use the tills and the cashless machines.

Did you learn learn the lesson that it was BITCOIN that came to their rescue as well as donations of cash from public etc.

A very well known F food business stopped research into it's AI ordering service, because it kept getting orders wrong.. Not surprisingly, human motor processes are rather difficult..to copy..

*I'm sick of being treated like a 2nd class customer when paying using cash!* In my local tesco there are *8* self-service tills, only *2* of them accept cash. So when queueing people who were behind me leapfrog me because the type of payment im using.

I was in the queue at Starbucks couple years ago. The person in Infront was trying to pay with an apple pay voucher, I was there like 3 minutes as it wasn't excepting the voucher... .. Technology eh...

I was surprised by local bus network accepts cash! 2 £s to go into town.. .. I have been in queues before WAITING for social media payers to complete their transactions...

When my daughter returned from the US with dollars she went to exchange them for sterling. She was asked what she will be doing with the sterling! I was with her and this question made me feel so angry on her behalf!! 🤬

I went into my well known high street bank in 2017, to exchange quite a considerable sum into dollars.. for a holiday. .. The lady behind the counter said. Sorry we don't hold cash anymore. .. I said what, but you're a bank, Yes said the cashier, but we have to "order" it in.....🤷

My local Morrisons had just one self service checkout that accepted cash of many. Only one till open. I put the milk back as it needed to I be refrigerated and dumped the rest and left. Cashless is also exposing people who have coercive and controling people in their lives, especially when they have left it are trying to escape the relationship because they could use information from bank statements to snoop and stalk.

I don't understand why companies want us to go cashless, because after cash is gone centralised digital currency will be forced upon us. Surely not even multinational companies won't be able to dodge taxes then (like they currently do) 🤔

There's also a misconception that institutions having 100% control is going to work. Are people going to accept this? .. Also, while the ability to use cash is still around, this allows economies to grow organically.. .. If there's 100% control, this WILL collapse national economies, because of the narrow framework of allowed payments under a dig ital cur ren fee.

Banking hubs are opening in many areas, several banks share one building, there is a website listing them

Sorry to be picky: you may have wealth, but you don't own the money. Money is a token produced and controlled by a third party that means you don't have to swap ten chickens for a pig, etc. What happens when you spend a tenner? it's now someone else's tenner but isn't owned by them. Additionally, banks technically own any wealth you deposit.

@@fluxington technically yes, a bank note is a loan. It literally says it on it. But what happens when that bank note no longer physically exists?

You have got no money in the bank now . If everyone went to withdraw their cash on the same day the banking system dies overnight

@@colinrobinson4233 I would presume that it has been replaced with another one. I think wealth is like energy (it can only be converted from one form to another). When people talk about wealth creation, surely they mean someone else is paying. The printing of money should only ever match the wealth in circulation.

I visited the same branded store, and started to use an automated till but didn't look that it said card only.. The machine went haywire trying to eject cash.😆 They had to credit me from another till.. .. Also in my local do it yourself store they installed automated till. That have since closed because they don't have the staff to monitor the public paying manually...

They'll have wholesale digital currency.. Which will work differently from retail D currency..

There are no laws stopping this. Open a shop and trade only in precious metals. I'll be there. But it won't last long, people want convenience.
