Featured Speaker: Ronda Brewer McCarthy, MD, MPH, FACOEM
Ronda Brewer McCarthy, MD, MPH, FACOEM is Concentra's National Medical Director for Medical Surveillance Services, and Regulatory, Testing, and Exam Medical Expert Panel, Chair. A graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center- Houston (MD), Medical College of Wisconsin (MPH), and the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine (occupational medicine), she is board certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the American College of Preventive Medicine.
Ronda McCarthy has a long-standing interest in occupational heat exposure and its health effects on workers. She spent nine years developing and administering heat-related illness prevention programs in Central Texas.
On July 11, 2019, Dr. McCarthy provided testimony on heat illness prevention research to the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Workforce Protections in support of the Bill “From Farm to the Factories: Preventing Workplace Injury and Death from Excessive Heat.”
