Bellingham is fantastic and he has balls. He is young and a little immature. He will learn and be one of the best players in the history, of English football.
He did the interview after the final, stepped up in the last minute to keep England in the competition also got a few goals and assists throughout the comp but somehow the same people would rave and prefer to see Foden captain the bloke who didn't want to take a penalty instead of Bellingham.
Bellingham kicked the drinks cooler then kissed, cuddled and shook hands with his teammates and the media went wild wanting him as future England captain. 🤦♂️
Souness in particular seems to have missed two things. Firstly, changing rooms are now multicultural and more so the higher the division. Some cultures accept being shouted at by the manager. Other cultures do not. Some cultures see the leadership model as one person dictating orders. Other cultures see a more collaborative approach. Secondly ... the leader is now the coach. Souness often talks about the lack of coaching he received at Liverpool. He was just expected to go out and play to his best ability. It helped that all British teams played 4-4-2. Nowadays the leader is the coach who micro-manages every player's game. Each player is effectively his or her own leader. With the larger squads any player who fails to follow the coach's instructions is out. That was not the case when Liverpool won the league with a squad of 14 players. Any assessment of England's performances must be made with an understanding of what the players experience at club level, for most of them a level above international football. If the English manager fails to prepare a team to the standards experienced at club level, this will show in the England players' performances.
I agree with Graeme. Young people inc footballers today u just cant captain/manage same as are different now . Was so much better football in the 70s .
No, it wasn't the technical ability. The speed, the athleticism, was awful players now lead in a different manner you don't have to be brash and a hard man now
Imagine how toxic this guy's ego will be after getting the armband. No way the senior members of the england squad are having a 20 y/o Mr.Who Else captaining them
Pretty much everything in life has been softened, weakened, traduced, cowed. Football is same. Sorry but HK (Captain) and GS (Manager) is the epitome of this now.
Skippering is a huge factor. It's mostly about good luck karma. Jude is like Bobby Moore & Zidane, he just won't lie down to die. 27 seconds from a humiliating R16 defeat & he scored that bicycle wonder goal. Kane is lovely like Jimmy Greaves but not a skipper like Mooro. With Jude as skipper we will win Euro28 at Wembley.
Jude acts like a spoilt brat n that would piss off any player plus couldn’t back it up in knockstages rather see Stones or Guehi captain n Kobbie for the future 👌
@ClarenceBoddicker87 Yeah. Kicked a drinks cooler then gave his teammates a kiss, cuddle and handshake and the media went wild wanting him as captain. 🤦♂️
Having a lot of the best players playing in England doesn’t mean England should win a tournament. A lot of the best players are not English like de Bruyne, Haaland, Rodri and Salah so that’s a nonsense statement.
How can this modern world survive without real men ... men of character .... men of substance ... men of resilience like Sour Ness .... bless the ignorant old boomer generation that live in the past whilst they still to this day believe that they are the best thing since sliced bread ... the ignorant old farts
@@hammertic ... better in what ways ... better in living in the past ... better at not having a clue about the modern world because they are scared as things have moved on ... better at talking complete & utter rubbish ... agreed ... the freeloading boomers are a complete waste of space ... and they shouldn't be allowed to vote
Can someone please upload the full array of concessions of possession by foden and Bellingham in the euros, invariably brought about by their publicized infamous lack of football basics?
Being a captain/leader on a football pitch is pretty straight forward. You lead by example. How you train, play and behave. It’s not like cricket or rugby, where there are difficult and continuous tactical decisions to be made. Being given the armband is honorific. If we’re talking about England, we all know where the problems began and ended elsewhere.
'It’s not like cricket or rugby, where there are difficult and continuous tactical decisions to be made.' There are, they just aren't made by captains anymore. Used to be you'd have an onfield general. Imagine if Rice, Kane, Stones took it upon themselves to go 'we're playing at too low a tempo with no width', and were able to communicate that. All I ever saw was frustration with no onfield leadership. But, I put that largely down to complete, inexplicable acquiescence to Southgates supreme leadership, and the resulting demoralisation. Mentally weak, and not willing to risk offending the higher ups by making their own decisions.
You can say a lot of things about Bruno Fernandes but saying he “threw the towel in” is just complete rubbish! Graeme’s just jealous that Bruno’s got more talent/ability in his little toe than Souness had in his whole body! He did the same with Pogba🤦♂️🤦♂️
Man city had 1 first choice player in the starting lineup, plus Grealish and 1 on the bench. The rest were young players with the vast majority having zero 1st team experience.Your comment is embarrassing, Scotlands no 1 team beat a predominantly City youth team 😂
“Players nowadays are less reluctant to stand up and be counted”🤦♂️🤦♂️that means the exact opposite to what you wanted it to mean Graeme you old fool!
@@tevildo45 It’s Fact. Players could tackle then, can’t now, Chuck themselves over after zero contact these days the pussies. Look at the pitches too, much worse in the 80’s & 90’s yet very few complained. These days they moan and cheat.
You will get a manager in the future who has the Fergie level of control, but firstly the power has to be taken back from the players and agents, right now even owners can be forced out, only players cant be sacked and that must change, only in football and such sports do we have employees that can't be sacked when they consistently underperform, with that degree of power imbalance football is worse than ever for fans, as Graeme said too many teams have players who could not care less if the team wins or loses.
Clough got physco to his office said i heard u been called up to the england squad? Do you think ur good enough? Physco said yeah clough replied i dont now fuck off😂
Bellingham was the problem on and off the pitch for England at the Euros coz it's all gone to his head and he's not the player the media make out, he's a Mctominay type
Remain unconvinced , he’s like Roy of the rovers in that he has to try and do everything. See how he fares at Madrid this season as he’s not going to get the freedom he had last year. Leadership skills, not sure, he’s quite arrogant and doesn’t take criticism very well.
Souness made the dressing room at rangers and he was right about the players he had..there isn’t one player there now you could describe as a leader or a fighter for the jersey
Bellingham is a very good player but is selfish, arrogant and petulant at times, probably one of the last players on that squad I'd put as a leader. Declan Rice is the standout leadership candidate on the current squad but I'm not sure he's good enough to consistently keep his spot.
But guys facts are the most famous teamin UK is Scotland 's Glasgow Celtic fc They being the very first from uk shores to win the big cup . And every footballer from within a 30 mile radius of Celtic park, Glasgow this inc manager Jock Stein and this won't ever be done by any club side ever again in uk or Europe as a whole .
Deschamps = Former Juve Manager and UCL finalist in 2004 with Monaco. Won everything as a player..everything. Please stop comparing him with Southgate who won nothing as a player (bang average) and will never win anything as a manager....... Can't coach
What?? C'mon you can't seriously say Southgate wasn't a world class player?? He was class and one of the best defenders/sweepers of all time! Everytime he got the ball you knew he would create and what he has done for England with average weak players is a miracle! SOUTHGOAT
This is why we've won nothing since 1966. In that team they were all captains. They looked and behaved like men. Just like Liverpool and Leeds in the 70's.
They didn't say everything was better, they say things were different. And if it's boring one click on your phone, computer means you don't have to listen
Waiting for souness to slag off mainoo for not winning the olympics on his own. He doesn’t know his position. Surely there’s another black player he can start digging into
Roy Keane was NOT a leader, he was a violent bully, NO leader would deliberate injure and ending a fellow footballers career.. Keane, should, just like Cantona have had a very long suspension AND gone to jail for violent conduct!
Shut up players used to give it to him all the time yet every single ex player that played in wining teams with Keane called him a leader and hence why he’s still really close to them same ex team mates you clown football was like that back then
I'm no lover of Keane, but what is it with clowns like you that persist with the "Ended Haaland's career"He played the rest of that game and 4 days later. He himself said he'd been having trouble with his left knee (Which led to his retirement) and Keane caught his right thigh.Try and digest the real truth and facts
@@Philoyouknow Well your´re just another deluted United fan that probably thinks that United will win the title next season. United will finish 8th yet again with their FRAUD manager and crap players. NO star player will sign for United!
Bellingham is a nothing player, who plays for real madrid, the biggest cheats in europe Any cabbage can win at real madrid You people way over state what bellingham is as a player, like so many times with english players Look at the players around him at real madrid, and thats why real won, not because of him, but the other players. I think its laughable that you lot think bellingham is a captain Bellingham is englands neymar, just benefits from what his team mates do, and he does really nothing.
Feel like every episode they say the same stuff it's either about England Southgate same old bs or man U bored of this now Senior players ,characters , criticism yawn change the record
