I get Kayfabe is totally dead, but I think they go a step to far with it..like why not atleast kinda/sorta try to maintain a tiny little shred of it? There handicapping themselves when they may have the chance to do an angle with a little real life in it. The best wrestling is when its hard to tell.. (Bischoff and Flair back in the day) atleast it was blurring lines SOME...
@@capitalmurder593 thank you for reciting everything every other person who desperately wants kayfabe to exist for some reason has already said. All due respect, here's where you need to understand why fans like me, don't tend to gel well with fans who share this opinion. Fuck kayfabe!!! It literally ruins the fun out of being a legit fan. 'Kayfabe' was never a tool in order to "maintain the illusion of the art". It was created so that bookers, can con fans into believing this bullshit isn't scripted, so they can make MORE MONEY!A LOT and I do mean A LOT less people... especially Americans thought it was fake. They had their suspicions, but they didnt outright know. You'd be surprised the small select few of the 8 million or whoever watched Raw, had knowledge of 'wrestling forums' or magazines. Or 'Hotlines'. Which they also charged for btw. I've rewatched a lot of old angles, and the acting is deplorable I'm several segments, like today, nothing is perfect. But back then, nobody questioned it. Wrestling was a racket, that the fans who believed the racket enough to love it, basically have taken over the business. It's for the fans, and the the wrestlers. As an AEW fan. I feel included (most wrestling fans were closet fans back in the day btw, during your glory kayfabe days) now. The Bucks and Kenny make us feel included and like they care even a little about what we think. Very few companies have done that and not a single one that was a Kayfabe Extremist based company, ever cared about a single fan. They only cared about the dollars. It's why today's fans talk about the memorable moments and cool storylines, while the rest of the boomers who are aging only talk about "getting asses in seats" or "drawing houses". Read between the lines. The bookers are just pissed the wrestlers never fucking needed them to begin with. Sorry for my long winded political discourse, but fuck Capitalism, fuck Cornette and fuck gatekeeper fans who ruin the fun for everyone just because we were ALL so impressed Jim Crockett Promotions was able to con a bunch of poorly educated southern country fried rubes that these big sweaty men were "fighting for real" out there, back in the 80's.
4 minutes. That's how long it took me to crack. Oh fuq a RDR2 skit.... KENNYYYYYYYYYY! ..... KNENY! Two days before Christmas and we get 2x "DO YA?!" the best gift of all.
Uh oh, I don't think you can just quit the Dark Order, dude. Although, I'm VERY interested to see how they handle someone who tries to leave the group.
That was Brandon Cutler though, not Silver, wasn't it? There was 1 guy who already had a purple mask before Silver & Reynolds got theirs. He looked pretty Brandon Cutler-y physique wise.
@@xixXxxXxix I honestly don't know who it was. I just saw the mask being thrown in the trash after someone was washing the "blood" off his hands and assumed it meant someone wanted out of the Dark Order.
@@nickwatic Could be. But throwing away something usually is indicative of being done with that thing. If the guy was just trying to hide, why throw away the mask and not just hide it?
I feel as if they need to also promote BTE on Dynamite. This will give the audience the full back story of who the Elite are, for the ones new to them. They have always produced rich material every damn episode since the beginning! I can say for as long as I can remember, BTE is My Monday Show I always look forward to. Thanks The Elite and Company!!! #4everSweet
I just hope that soon the Elite rise. Bucks are the greatest tag team in the world, Kenny is the greatest in ring performer I have ever witnessed. Let it out! Bring the Elites!!!
They took a bad and embarrassing moment and made lite of things. B ut I hope that guy got fired and I hope he never wrestles again. That made pro wrestling look stupid and made AEW look stupid. I might be old school in my thinking, but pro wrestling must have some realism to it.
After seeing so many toxic AEW haters on certain "wrestling" site, I'm so glad to see BTE episode to enjoy some genuine fun. I hope there is enough of us Elite fans to keep AEW around for years to come. Happy holidays, everyone.
There are not enough AEW fans to keep it going for years. TNT is a business and will shitcan them in a heartbeat if the ratings continue downward. The indy scene and BTE people are not sufficient.
@@copper178 what a weirdly articulate response? Why do you care about ratings and stability as a fan? Just watch if you like it, and if you don't you don't have to
@@monsterinthepants I was stating the obvious. TNT isn't the indy wrestling scene. They need new fans over and above any of the BTE crowd if they plan on lasting.
For as much as I enjoy Dynamite, is it possible that I enjoy "Being The Elite" even more? B.T.E. makes getting through a Monday SOOOOOOO much more bearable!!
YAHIR_acer_fang_cool mix Cruz ok but you didn’t really answer why this type of content isn’t part of the Dynamite programming. The matches on Dynamite have good spots for the most part; matches are typically 5 minutes too long and could be replaced with better character/talent development vignettes. So many of the wrestlers are new to me and I don’t know much about who they are etc. Jericho, Cody, Brandi, MJF have great promos and vignettes and you really are invested in their characters. The other wrestlers....not so much. I see much better storytelling and talent development on this show than something like Dynamite. I think that’s a valid comment
I think that they want to keep the shows separate from each other. They might have said that they would not put some of the things from Bte on dynamite.
e Manual the content here would really help elevate some of the guys like Adam page and Bucks who show tons of personality on BTE, but little personality on Dynamite. I don’t see the fans (myself included) connecting with guys like Adam page just from watching dynamite
@@furnaccio I also would like them to show or talk about story like elements on dynamite from bte on some of the wrestlers that may help them improve in eyes of the fans that only see dynamite.
The "botched shot" bit is the exact reason people love Matt, Nick, and all of BTE! People who bitched about what happened are not wrestling fans, their trolls, and the worst kind! 2020 is going to be awesome for REAL wrestling fans thanks to Matt and Nick Jackson, hell all of AEW!
Lmao, this is why I love the Elite, they dont ignore any criticism, they embrace it. 1st, they made fun of everyone overreacting about the winning streak coming to an end and now they do the fake punches thing that happend to Dustin. I freaking love you guys, I hope you're all feeling ok after receiving those toxic comments on Twitter.
Dude they can't stand other people's criticism.. making fun of themselves on their yt show after they deleted twitter because of 'mean comments' is not embracing it, it's just thin skinned
@@redman4669 deleting twitter because ur fed up of dumbasses talking shit about u doesn't mean ur thin skinned it means u dnt want to indulge in negativity and embrace positivness
@@alexchennault6244 that doesn't mean you give up that mean you are more serious then your competition I left social media because it was to much bs I believe it was the same reason
@@alexchennault6244 the only war is in the minds of people who think what they say on twitter matters. The bad thing about social media is every tom, dick and marry think they are a critic. The punches were crap yes but no worse than half the punches thrown on other shows. Im sure the bucks quit twitter because they realized half or more of the tweets they get are from people who dont actually care about the aew product. There people posting just to spread toxicity and hate because they feel like their favorite promotion needs their help.
@@timothygraham4304 no its not but this was a little different. The guy throwing the punches is an extra and not a member of the aew roster yet tons of wwe wrestlers were saying the guy should be fired and acting like he was a roster member. Then on top of that a majority of people werent just laughing in a goid hearted nature. They were using it as an excuse to dump on aew as a whole because they were not fans of the product previous to the botch. Ive never seen a gif of the many missed moves that happen regularly in wwe turn into such a huge deal. I mean honestly no ground and pound punches ever look real even when done properly yet the narrative around this instance was "aew roster member not protecting the business". Think about how many botches happened in Charlotte vs Sasha hell in a cell and no one said they should be fired or that they were exposing the business! The aew instance was probably this guys 1st show as an extra with aew and he is being destroyed online for one mistake. Being critical is fine because every company is gonna have mistakes but this wasnt criticism this turned into an anti aew witch hunt.
Omg those punches are brutal on CD he's gotta have a concussion after that one lmao. Love how they can turn something that they are getting so much shit for into a joke I just hope it doesn't bite them in the ass and lose more viewers for their tv show.
They're not going to lose viewers, thanksgiving day was even worse in ratings and still Dynamite recovers those viewers. Last week was impeachment + NBA, thats all.
Brandi and Kong's haircut deal might not be getting any heat now, but if they touch a strand of hair on Freshly Squeezed precious head, the heat will be NUCLEAR!
I want to like AEW the only reason i watch it because the guys have more freedom to their character but at the same time these guys throwing the rule book out the window and putting a "performance" more than a conflict kinda ruins it. Most of the pplo who know theyre personalities on camera are guys that follow them on BTE, Instagram, Twitter etc. rather than on TV half the time. When you go on TV you have to go in it assuming no one knows who u are and you need stars to help elevate your "new" guys.
