Caribbean passports holders can easily travel around more than 140 countries, including the Schengen zone, the UK & Singapore.
The Caribbean citizenship program offers excellent opportunities for investors to get a pretty good passport as a plan B, and quickly too.
However, many claim this is a waste of money. In this video, Andrew shares a comment and explains what’s wrong with this statement.

It sounds interesting. But I've got questions. For one thing, AFAIK many countries permit only 2 citizenships so you need to choose wisely If you are a citizen of one of them. Also is there any issues transferring money back from the Caribbean countries to the banks in the EEC or US? Because I think the economic superpowers are none too happy with their citizens making deals with the tax paradises.

In case of you invest 100 000$ in a caribean passport for the next 10 years means that you pay 10 000$ in taxes a year. That's what is fair! Specially for EU citizens that earns 6 figures or more because they are heavily taxed in Europe!

I recently got my Dominican Republic birth certificate and national ID card. I have been going through the citizenship by descent process since July 2021, or June 2021 if you count the time it took to get my US birth certificate, which was needed for the process. I will soon get my passport. This will give me visa-free access to Russia. I would also like to get citizenship in an EU country and my Dominican citizenship will allow me to apply for Spanish citizenship with two years of residency, instead of the usual 10. Anyone with a citizenship of Ibero-America (including those with Puerto Rican citizenship), Portugal, Andorra, the Philippines, Equatorial Guinea, or France, or if a person is a Sephardi Jew, he or she can apply for Spanish citizenship after two years of living in Spain. If you marry a Spaniard, the residency time required would be reduced to just one year.

Most people don’t understand the huge disparities between their country & others. If someone never leaves their country they’re ignorant to speak on expatriating or citizenship. These people don’t have a leg to stand on let alone any expertise in speaking! The irony is they seem to think their opinion is valid or needs to be heard. This is also the same reason they’re most likely unsuccessful in business or work for someone else. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Gotta love that entitlement factor. 😂 Keep doing All You Do! 💜

I'd like to add what I think is an interesting aside to this discussion. Many people think having multiple passports is a waste of time if you have a US passport, but when you really start to travel, you start to discover some truths. First, although cost isn't a factor for high-net-worth individuals, it is often cheaper to get into some countries with a NON-US passport than others! Visa fees vary from country to country and some countries have relationships with other countries that can make a non-US passport better for travel in partnering countries. Second, you may have a lot of trouble going into certain countries on a US visa for political or other related reasons. Third, if you are ever in a real serious situation and need to get out of a country as quickly as possible, having multiple passports can save your life! I mention this because I know a woman who wanted to visit all of the countries in the world. She had a US passport as well as a passport from another country. She was able to accomplish her goal by utilizing her second passport to travel to some countries that weren't easy places to travel to with a US passport and she was able to pay cheaper fees by using her second passport. I also have a friend who was trying to get out of a particular country during a natural disaster. There were multiple countries participating in evacuations. She could not get out of the country with the US convoy because they were only taking military personnel initially. She had multiple passports and was able to secure a flight out using one of those other passports. These are solid additional reasons to have multiple passports even if you have no intention of renouncing your US citizenship. You never know when you're going to have an issue that requires you to rely on that second passport. It is always better to have it than not have it! Passports aren't something you're going to be able to get quickly, so you have to think through things, plan for it and be prepared. AND, this applies whether you are a high-net-worth individual or not!

That is the sad part of this CBI debacle. All is good now, but what happens when these passport holders start making demands on the country - think it can't happen. Well is the Pope Catholic. The Caribbean countries are creating a huge problem for the next generation. In Nevis recently, there was a Russian White women who bought her citizenship and is bankrolling the Prime Minister's election campaign, was upset when the children were on the beach doing their exercise drills at the same time as she was walking. She wanted the beach to herself and when she realized that it was not going to happen she went full blown "Karen" on the organizers and children. See what these entitled outsides think that they can do to the natural born citizens and this just the tip of the iceberg. Our Caribbean are thinking WTF is wrong with the current politicians. Great video, as always! I've been following Nomad Capitalist for a while now, and I would be very interested in Andrew's reasons for "collecting" passports. Also, is there any way Andrew could talk about which citizenships he has and how/why he got them? I am very passionate about citizenships and passports too and would love to hear the stories! Keep producing the great content, it's really remarkable how much better the quality recently got.

Unfortunately the Caribbean countries are in danger of losing visa access to the UK and the EU. Dominica has just lost access to the UK and it is rumored that St. Lucia is next. Some greed and some bad judgment seems to be the culprit. Selling passports to Russians after the Ukraine war took off, laxity in due diligence and lax replacement for "lost" passports have been cited. Our Dominica citizenship is now an investment that has lost a lot of value for us, because we just lost UK visa access. If we lose EU access (a real risk) the investment will be lost as far as we're concerned.

Due to St. Kitts & Nevis transforming into a digital economy with the launch of a digital currency, this grasps the attention of FINTEC investors. The amount to gain citizenship was reduced from from $190,000 to $150,000 (COVID-19 limited discount) - must be donated to a charity set up by the St. Kitts-Nevis government. A $200,000 real estate investment is also required. Also St. Kitts & Nevis offers digital banking licenses, which is a plus for "hoarding" investors 😁

The Caribbean Is The Absolute Best Deal In Town. Even if you put down enough money for Maltese citizenship, and become an EU citizen, your taxes still won't be less than that of St. Kitts & Nevis or Antigua & Barbuda. The whole point is to maximize the amount of money that you'll potentially aquire over time. Because one sad fact of life is that time is money. And All Roads Lead To Money.

I think one should be having minimum to no grasp on the things this channel talks about if he or she says that Caribbean passports are for fools. In my opinion, if you’re still not at the seven figures yet and you need to buy that “one” passport, it has to be Caribbean, plus a residency.

I understand your point but I believe that getting another passport doesn't release you from paying taxes in a country like Canada and probably USA and many other westerner country. For example in Canada, you are fiscally resident and liable to paying taxes even if you live in another country and if you still have links to Canada such as a bank account/ business registered in Canada/ owning a house/etc...

Also, could we still own property and keep passports in the USA without issue? He's actually Canadian, but I'm a US citizen. How are the Turks about Canadians? Could you do a video on this subject? I'm not saying this would happen, but isn't it possible that a country could change their policies some time in the future? What if the Caribbean country one invested in, decided to no longer "leave you alone"? For example, they could decide to start taxing foreign income like the US, and make renouncing citizenship expensive. Even if unlikely, we have to at least acknowledge this as a potential risk
