WUX to dump X 2/2s onto the board is already good and flipping it doesn't slow you down much to get a planeswalker who will go through your deck and let you get creatures you want into the graveyard AND buff your knights power/give them ward 1 permanently. It costs too much for the budget your working with but it really deserved an honourable mention It was practically made for this deck, only reason it isn't in is because it's a chase card from the set the deck is paired with
I know its not a knight but council of four seems so good for this deck cuz he makes knights and draws a lot of cards plus that 8 toughness is no joke. Im surprised it was not mentioned at all
Threw breathless knight in mine. Just a 2/2 for three with lifelink and flying but every time you reanimate something it gets a +1/+1 counter. With all the knights that give doublestrike or if you knights charge it gets real big real quick

I had a similar situation. I was going to buy kinsbale from my lgs. The clerk rang it up for 5 and his boss behind him said wait a minute and said it was improperly labeled, but they decided to uphold the sale. Due to an inventory error I got him on the cheap. So that was sweet!
Guardian of faith always seemed like a very under appreciated card. I'm surprised it took this long for it to spike. The core set knight cycle is very much the same, they were just waiting for a home, especially after the way cavalier of thorns suddenly spiked when it saw constructed play.
With the discard effect in thinking about adding those enchantments and effects that gives bonuses when you discard. Drakes, opponents loose 2 life you gain 2, and so on.
I was immediately sold when they announced the precons and one of them was my favorite Tribe and in Esper no less! It just sucks that Kinsbaile Cavalier shot up like 30 bucks since the beginning of April.
$10 is way to low for any real upgrade or change. $20-25 is the bare minimum. Also this video must of been filmed awhile ago because prices are way out of date.
I started playing Commander with Knights...Syr Gwyn was a lovely twist but it's so awesome to have a proper knight commander with a precon. Awesome upgrades and talking points!
@@williamhoadley5089 The prices went up slightly when they said it was an Esper Knights deck. It skyrocketed when they released spoilers for the Commander. It’s way overpriced given that this pre con deck is probably the only deck you would use it in.
It's funny what you said about Josu Vess. This is the first time I've had him, and my second game with the pre-con as shipped I not only managed to kick him in, but won the game with it combined with Syr Konrad and a board wipe. It was then the first card I cut the next day when I made my own alterations. I hadn't watched this episode yet.
This precon is so much fun to play out the box. I’m definitely making tweaks to this deck but overall it has the bang for your buck. Couldn’t wait till you guys did your budget deck build a few cards I hadn’t thought about adding so might try to fit those in if possible.
"All of the upgrades" have been one set's precons. I don't think they've said whether they will continue with this budget for every set moving forward. Also what everyone else said, and it used to be $30 not $50
The new knight from dominaria united. Knight of dusk's shadow. 2 drop 2/2 menace 1and black +1/+1 fire-breathing and opponents can't gain life. Awesome card. And from MOM, surge of salvation is cool from protecting your stuff.
If someone is going to buy a $40+ precon, they are most likely down to spend more than $10 to upgrade it. The $10 upgrade section should really only be a tab page with a quick glance over. More time should be spent between the $20-$50 range and then a full upgrade list at the end list normal.
With all the drawing/discarding, I added a few madness spells. Definitely also need to take out some of those high CMC creatures for some cheaper knights.
Okay, for real, The Kinnsbaile Cavaliers like 20 bucks the Cavalier of night is like 10 bucks guardian of faith is like six y'all were a little late on this one
Kamiz, not a knight, fits here really well. You can swing in freely and connive which increases your grave. You’ll eventually get the double strike on some creatures and a beefy creature going in.
Was an Instant buy for me. I run Elana and Azor and do indeed run it differently but saw the main commander being played. Very fun seeing how different it is compared to mine. I may build it now
One rules question I have is if you use sidars first strike to bring back a creature that would give it double strike would it then do combat damage in the normal damage step from the double strike or no since it already did first strike damage?
Yea, so let’s say you swing and deal damage with sidar, reanimate for example kins cavalier, since you’re still technically in combat, sidar will now have double strike and you can reanimate a second time

One of the changes I made to my calvary charge is putting library of leng. It allows me to decide if I want to discard to the top of my library or graveyard . That way I'm not forced to discard something I really need later. I believe the card is around a dollar or two.
Some other great includes I had on my list are : Cavalier of Dawn and Gales, Teferi's Ageless Insight is stupidly strong with the eminence, Patriarch's bidding, Kindred Discovery... And if you wanna try something unusual fitting the theme : Fanatical devotion. Protect your commander by sacrificing a knight... that you will bring back anyway. Unsettled Manier is also a decent 2 drop. Vorpal Sword for the flavor :D (deathtouch is great on your commander as well) However, I must say that Damen had a perfect insight on how to improve the decks. (y) (y) Very good choices there !
I love every single card you mentioned here. I am including every single card you mentioned in my list save for Cavalier of Gales, namely because it shuffles in instead of going to the graveyard where you want it, and Vorpal Sword, but I can respect the flavor. Also thank you for introducing me to Fanatical Devotion, I didn't even know that card existed, definitely including that in my deck!
Drownyard Temple would be a good switch from Temple of False God, yes still colorless but with the free loot it is a 3 mana ramp and a good discard target
I hope this has made a great lesson for the command zone. 1 You cant hold onto these so long cause prices vary before it even comes out. 2 please raise the upgrade budget as many think 10$ is t worth it. 3 the planechase cards are insta removes
If it's not printed into the deck, one should consider the enchantment "Knights Charge" if you're going for reanimation. Plus it's barely even $1 on the price tag.
When advertising for Ultra Pro, you mentioned that they had 90s binder experience art on playmats. I looked really hard and coild not find any of those with even a "sold out" lable on it.
I already have an Aryel, knight of Windgrace deck. I bought the blue knigts and commanders from this deck as singles and can do without buying the precon. I have a lot of good knights already. I think I'm going to make is Vampire Knights. There are about 10 good cards that are both types and Sorin adds another twist to the deck. Drana, the last bloodchief is fun with this subtheme too.
I was originally planning to make a Mardu colored knight deck with Syr Gwynn, but then I heard of this deck and went holy crap, Sidar Jabari? sign me the hell up! I didn't miss out on the red knights as much as I thought I would, and I decided to go with a targeted removal/anthem strategy. :D

The only thing for me to suggest is the first couple of cards I'd think to take out of this deck are the two plane chase specific cards no? Feels a little odd that you're talking about the specifics of effeciency and synergy when there's still a 4 cost mana rock still in there!
Honestly that's just cause if I cut it, I would have been obligated to replace it with a manarock and I really wanted the adds I discussed more, thus it stayed. That being said, next cuts would be those for the remaining signets and talisman's that are missing.
Good video, even a good series of videos with this set, but I absolutely hate the $10 budget. Please at least raise it back to where it was or even raise it to like $100. Other than that, I love the videos and can't wait to see the next Game Knights!
I am very glad I built knights before this deck dropped I bought skyhunter strime force for 40 cents the week it dropped its now at 7 dollars same spike in all on color cavaliers and guardian of faith.
I ended up pairing Stunt Double, with Knight Exemplar to give indestructible to it as well ( as well as another +1/+1 for her and my other knights) While Sigiled sword of Valeron seems somewhat reduntant in the deck, i think is actually synergizes perfectly with Teysa Markov if you add her in, giving her Access to all the Knight tribal buffs, while also giving the mass ammount if buff tokens you have out, the awesome combo of vigilance and life link. Especially if you're able to have them indestructible as well. Definitely a fun time. ( for me, not my opponents lol) And if i REALLY want to be a dick. If my side isnt indestructible then board wipe if needed ( depending on how many knights i have milled/ have in play) then can use Mortal Combat ( and hope no one has a spell to exile my graveyard) (Edit was a sentence I forgot to add)
I'm so glad I live where I do. My lgs these are $35. Also, and I know it's just me, but I don't get buying the decks just to dismantle it and sell it for parts.

@@magellan6439 $100 total budget is more than "budget friendly" for the overwhelming majority of people. The difference between $75 and $100 for a deck is really nothing but the difference that extra $25 can make in upgrades and power level is huge.
@@SHADOWCLOUDGAMING yeah but at 50 for 10 cards you mainly add the big staples rather then unique cards. I like 25 cause it makes more unique cards see play
@@magellan6439 I don't think budget dictates what cards you add. Your deck building style does. Even at $50 there are very few "staples" you can add. Look at cards like cyclonic rift, toxic deluge, etc. It's the majority of even a $50 budget. But what a jump from $25 to $50 does is allow for a $12 or $15 card to be added which can create a really unique synergy or effect with a commander with room for more.
@@SHADOWCLOUDGAMING I suppose. I like the 25$ budget more cause dropping 60$ is a lot easier then dropping 95 but I can see that 50 allows for better cards. (staples was the wrong word, I ment staples in the theme of a deck like a 12$ knight card is one everyone knows about.)
I woild really like to make this dexk with the other commander maybe with more spells. I have also found some great crwature cards that are not knights that can be added and turned into knight with that artifact helps a ton
When did you check the price for Kinsbaile Cavalier? 3$? I wish! It jumped to 9€ right after it was clear that this is the best deck of the five and it sits now at 25€ = 27US$
