"toast" refers to the style of bread in some countries outside of north america! specifically; toast bread! its shortened to toast. like in germany, "toast bread" is that bouncy, sugary white bread like wonderbread. and then "bread" refers to what ppl in the states refer to as artisenal loaves. the same culture is prevalent in japan in some areas ^^

At 10:22 the egg looks overcooked a little. Its hardly runny but the yoke is very yellow or more orange like. Maybe its the kind of egg?

Japan doesn’t grow wheat at all so they have to import all of it. Any flour there is rice flour meaning it’s got more bounce. Regular flour is always imported so that bread is likely around 90% rice to 10% wheat flour. Honestly there isn’t much difference in taste but the difference is in texture as rice you always end up with a bouncy bread. Also our normal American bread tends to have more sugar per slice so it browns up nicely, Japanese bread lacks this sugar hence why it doesn’t fully go brown.
