From this clip alone, you can see why this whole production is worthy of each and every Tony Nomination that they’ve had. From Set Design, Costume, and of course Karen Olivo and Aaron Tveits well deserved nominations! Can’t wait to see this on the West End in 2021!
I would sell my soul for a HD version of Roxanne. I was so surprised the first time I heard it on the soundtrack. I'm so used to his sweet, bright sound. I've never heard him sing in such a dark way and it does things to me. Oh and oof, that leather coat he wears is just *chef's kiss*
why just the arms? His voice which blends so beautifully with his co-stars just gives you goose bumps. they are wonderful together. Talent like that, for me, is a beautiful high
Aaron is from my hometown, we have a street downtown named after him. It’s huge that he was announced as a Tony nominee. The High School has their electronic marquee congratulating Aaron on the nomination.
@@emmarosie18 we don’t know yet. Even though he’s the only nominee in accordance with the American Theater Wing rules he has to get at least 60% of the vote to win the Tony. I’m pretty sure he’s going to win whenever the show happens.
Why did he cut his hair? He looked so handsome (he still does, but that length it's perfection, if you know what I mean)!!! Aaron Tveit just kills me every time: voice, face, hair...
My fiancé and I saw this during its trial in Boston. At the time he had never seen a professional theatre performance before, we also hadn’t said “I love you” yet. Fast forward to this past September and he proposed. This Halloween we will be dancing to this version of the song as we dance together for the first time as husband and wife.
This production went through a lot. They were fortunate enough to run a few months before the pandemic, and they came back better than ever!! I can't wait to see this! Aaron Tveit pulls at your heart when he sings.... He is the best!
As a fan of the 2001 movie and of course, the singing in the film, I'm so glad they kept the notes practically identical to that version, they just hit so GOOD 😭😍
I was supposed to see this on tour. So happy to be able to watch this over and over!!! Aaron will be on a Hallmark movie this weekend with Laura Osnes. Yay.
I will never stop being amazed that I got to see this show. I will continually be blown away by the talent of the whole cast. That said: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RELEASE DO/RELEASE A VIDEO OF ROXANNE NEXT. When I saw the show I was lucky enough to win the cafe seats and I was right up against the stage. The pure emotion on Aaron's face during Roxanne made me cry. I knew it would be impactful but I...forgot I was watching an actor and for a moment Christian was real...
I can't believe I have seen him performing this live in January on Broadway and it was exactly like this. Absolute quality moments. The show and set design is outstanding. I have seen a lot but this one was absolutely spectacular.
Ok, this is a ton of better then the songs they put on that album recording. Now I can see why it's doing well, it's makes all the difference in the world to see it performed here.
I love how just changing a few beats, having a pause here and there and it’s like a whole new song and you pick up things in the lyrics that you missed from the movie version. I like that instead of being a big spectacle number it’s just two people in a dingy apartment realizing they love each other, in that moment, and perhaps only that moment, and is very sweet and gentle ♥️
I discovered the musical "by accident", in July '23 when I was in London for Bruce Springsteen's two concerts. I know London very well, so I was looking for something to do in the afternoon before the show in Hyde Park. I was thunderstruck, literally. I sang, danced, cried, and laughed like I haven't in years. and I'm almost 60 years old, 40 of which I spent traveling the world to see Bruce. I've seen the musicaln at least once a month since then. I live in Milan, get my ticket as soon as I have some time, leave by fly at 10 a.m. and arrive at 12 noon in London, headed to the Piccadilly Theatre for the 2:30 p.m. show and then at 8 p.m. fly back home. and or I will as long as it's on in London. see it, experience it, love it. it's just amazing!!! All the best, Alessandro
i dont want to crush peoples dreams or anything, but theres no proshot :( . thish was just recorded for promotional footage. IF someone has a slime tutorial of the full thing with aaron and karen feel free to put the link here so people can find it!
WOW! She kind of blows Aaron (whom I love) out of the water. What jaw-dropping sound, support, nuances, and performance Karen has. She commands the stage (and Aaron is just there for the ride...)
In all reality, we need a pro-shot to save 2020. This musical is absolutely phenomenal and I am so grateful to have seen it last year right after opening
The most amazing show I have ever seen. It is a show that I would have turned around and bought tickets for the next show if it was not already sold out.
Aaron is a fantastic singer, I love him in Les Miserables but, Ewan McGregor will always be my Christian. He plays his vulnerability so we'll. I believe they're in love, the chemistry between Ewan and Nicole in the movie is perfect. These two....it feels like a play, like they're aware that they're putting on a show. It's just not captivating for me. Aarons singing is certainly technically better, but Ewans emotion gets me everytime
@@NYCgirl1221 I get what you’re saying but I actually prefer Nicole’s singing - to me, it played well into the contrast of the sexy confident courtesan and the dreamer who has seen too much bad in the world but hasn’t lost that dream. Granted, Nicole’s style of singing wouldn’t work for Broadway.
Love is a many splendored thing! ❤ Love lifts us up where we belong! ❤ All you need is love! ❤ And I love this, I really really hope I get to see it one day! ❤
Just saw this in Hollywood today. I have waited 20 years to see this song performed on stage. When it finally happened the tears rolled down my cheeks. I was overwhelmed with emotion it was so good.
