Robyn, I am a huge Priest fan since 1983 and so happy you covered a song from my favorite band. I hope members of Priest will see this. Amazing work. Thanks so much.
Wow Robyn!!! I've been a Priest fan since I was a kid, going back to 1980. I've NEVER heard a cover of Devils Child...great, deep cut from Screaming for Vengeance!! This bluegrass version kicks MAJOR ass! I hope Rob Halford and all Priest members past and present hear your version. JP would definitely be proud!! ❤
You have a beautiful voice and are extremely talented at arranging songs and selecting musicians to accompany you. I'm not certain this is bluegrass, but I'm not certain what makes a song bluegrass. Whatever, I found this quite enjoyable. Thank you for sharing.
This, for some reason, gives off a country western feel, and I love it! Reminds me of your cover of Rollin! I’m gonna listen to this all day and night!
I've been Priest fan since I was a just a little headbanger, probably 6 or 8 years old (I had 3 older brothers, so my music and horror movie education started early and shifted my tastes to skew slightly older than my actual age would've normally set it). I've loved PMJ since I first discovered them many years ago. Some of my fondest memories of my father involve him doing a lip sync performance of the devil went down to Georgia, and one of my best PMJ memories was taking my son's godmother to see them in Greensboro not too long before we lost her. We had been discussing taking her to another show in the summer, but she passed in the spring. This one performance contains a whole tangle of emotional involvement! As always, thanks for the wonderful music, Robyn does a fantastic job, and I bet Rob himself will love it.
I am not a Judas Priest fan and didn't know about this song of theirs before watching your video. But, your version sounds great - evokes the old camp meetings of a hundred years ago (and earlier). Actually, your version brought to mind for some reason the 2000 George Clooney movie, "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (I think the soundtrack there was more folk and country but maybe Bluegrass?).
thank you for your music…. but it would be nice if your musicians smiled. we have the impression that he is bored. of course we don't try to watch them, to concentrate on you, which is kind of the point of the video, but still….😁😁
