Rules were hurriedly changed to prevent Joanna Cherry from coming to Holyrood - JC has the intellect and skills to challenge Nicola and call out her failures . The world independence seems a tad hypocritical. How on earth would Scotland be.independent under the rule of Brussels. Obviously Scotland would have to change their currency and their own cultural heritage.Migrants would have freedom of movement and that would mean Schools.Hospitals and housing would be unable to cope. The English government will obviously stop the Barnet formula and that would mean billions in lost revenue. Considering that Scotland has less taxpayers than Birmingham where's the money coming from to run the Scottish economy.

People vote for the SNP for various reasons such as free prescriptions, free higher education, free bridge crossings, and some actually believe it’s Scots governing and serving Scots ( doesn’t look like it) and it’s just a minority who actually want to break out of the Union. Alex S is correct, he notes Scots don’t want Greens and their crazy policies, and how do we know that is the case. We know because the Greens do not get many votes in Scotland ( and England) yet other parties act like puppets to the Greens. The people don’t want Greens yet the SNP linked up with them to govern but they are not serving the people by giving appeasement to Greens. And Scots are on the whole moral people, who gave the Alphabets an inch and they took a mile, and are entering schools to corrupt ch’ and having people accused of hate crimes for misgendering and not using their preferred pronouns, and getting the Police to act like idiots. Uganda is correct to look at the West, and note the folly of what happens when alphabets are given compassion !

The Scottish National Party (SNP) and Alex Salmond both suffer from a severe case of self-delusion. They both talk a lot about how important independence is to them, and if they ever realise their goal of being independent, they both want to join the European Union as though doing so will give them even more freedom. Both of them need to come to the realisation that Scotland's level of independence will decrease after it joins the European Union, compared to what it would have been had they remained a part of the Union.

Achieving independence for Scotland would be very simple in my book... Stop being left wing. Adopt a more traditionalist patriotic approach would produce far more support. Plus the amount of English immigrants you would get would solve the population problem you currently have.

I don't like to agree with Salmond but in this case I will. A politically savvy FM, would drop the GRR bill in it's current form and go back to the drawing board, to iron out the issues that were raised by it. All Yousaf does by pursuing it is bleed more votes away from the SNP. He is quite useless (quite frankly all the candidates were) and he demonstrated that straight out the gate, by demanding a section 30 yesterday. Why? What has changed? The status quo is what it is - all he accomplished is to make himself look stupid and given fodder to the SNP hate machine for a few more days.
