@@Kieran-dz2gb I think he would have been sacked come what may, even though this is a case for which suspension and a fine would seem to be a more appropriate penalty . As I said, this seems like a distraction story and I don't necessarily think it is anything else to do with JJ. I think there is a MASSIVE story about to break about a MAJOR star and the BBC is attempting to smokescreen us.
A woman at work gave me her e-mail address and I flirted with her, she said it was not appropriate and so I backed off. Then she gave me her number for phone sex and dozens of sms about her lingerie and self pleasuring. I still have the data if she ever wants to blackmail me. Why would a woman give their number to a married man????
Why are the women being treated like helpless damsels in distress. I thought women were strong and independent, just as capable as men in every way? Why can’t they just ignore texts and / or block him?
@stefanmoses163 I'll explain All employers have a legal duty of care. If an employee is receiving unwanted texts etc from another employee. They must act.
Yep, obviously an issue that his wife will take up, but what business the BBC has in this is anyone's guess? They're the last place we'd look for guidance on morals or ethics.
And why talk sports , have not abandoned him, he was probably better off not being at the BBC . his future is at other sports company they got rid of his other show motd.
Typically it's men who approach and ask out. And yet so many videos by wonen complaining that where are men; men don't approach us anymore why? If only men could get the mind reading gene to work
Guys this means don't send ANY texts to females at work, otherwise you will lose your job. Stay safe keep silent. Don't talk to any females unless you want to end up in custody.
he was harrassing female who was also his colleague. They are trying to make workplaxe safe fpr everybody. Safe from unwanted attention. he bombarded her with a lot of texts in 24h. women can get scared easily and they watch out for weird behaviour. And that was weird. so she labeled him creep and went to make complaint.
How many messages were sent then?? Why didn’t the woman block Jenas after the first message? Especially if it was seedy? Let’s see what the full messages are
This is exactly the same thing that Jason Manford was sacked from the "One Show" for, with multiple women... only to not only be brought back but given additional shows. Is this different because it was involving BBC staff, as opposed to members of the general public? If so, why should that make any difference at all?
Why is this such a big thing? So he was texting another adult or two flirting? He has already had more headlines and critism than the scum who go around stabbing innocent people.
They can't just sack him without a proper investigation, double standards again, he has a right to appeal. Edwards was suspended and resigned after a long time.
he was harrasing female and who is his colleague!!! it is workplace that they trying to make safe for everyone. It is not "2 consenting adults and it is his private life" bs
Did these two women have significant others? If so shouldn’t we know about them? They should be sacked too surely. I don’t condone cheating but this is ridiculous to lose your career over!!
I'm sorry but since when does a bloke require therapy over sending messages to a female???? Regardless if or not they are appropriate & didn't they message him back??, obviously some did which lead him on ,,,& in fact what is appropriate or not??? Personally I'm sick of these people blaming mental health for their actions & bull$hit..... Therapy my arse!!!!!!!!
He's just trying to minimise everything that's happened if this had never come out it would have eventually become physical cause he certainly had no thought for his marriage
Good lord, no wonder blokes and women under 35 are single. Blokes terrified to chat a woman up. And yeah I know he's married so no excuse for him. But this issue is on all men and men are terrified to even approach a woman they fancy
Is sexting a criminal act? Do people in the public eye have to be squeaky clean? In Stalin UK a lot of people are gonna have to be very careful . For most of us the BBC finished with the saville scandal.
The issue is, that the BBC aren't being transparent so we are currently basing this story on pure speculation. Given how the BBC dealt with Savile and Edwards... they need to release a thorough and transparent statement ASAP to quash any speculation. The BBC make things 10x worse by staying silent. As a taxpayer funded organisation, they owe us honesty.
He got his “n***** wake up call” - that’s what we call it down here in the gutter. It’s easy to forget you’re black. The “Matrix” has to keep one in his lane, right Andrew Tate lol
That may be true, but, there were grown women, but Hew there were kiddies photo's involved. All Jermaine Jenas, needs to do is get on his knees to his wife, his family should be all that matters.
@lucyanneanne5411 oh yes 100% Obviously we don't yet know the full content of Jermaine's Text Traffic, cos I truly believe this started out 2 way but at least we know it was between adults.
What I’m confused with is how and why it was made a disciplinary issue ? Did one or both women complain or feel the sexting went to far ? If it was consensual (rightly or wrongly) how did it get to the sacking ?
Exactly. Men should not be accepting phone numbers. If he did, then just tell your wife and then block the number. Your wife only cares about honesty. Don’t disrespect your wife. I’ve learned this while being married.
@@CarlitoGio You really don't think some women would harang you about why you took the number in the first place? People aren't honest and open about everything in a relationship and humans have always done things they later regret. If everybody did something dishonest and owned up about it rather than thinking it would go away there'd probably be far more broken marriages, relationships, divorces, children split between parents etc etc. Morally, nobody should work for the BBC. Choosing to be employed by that corporation is far worse than sending innapropriate drunken messages via text - married or not.
You know for a fact that had the text exchange been more from the side of the female instigation The matter wouldn’t have even been registered . Just like the Spanish manager kissing the female football player it was treated far differently to say Tom Cruise being forcibly kissed at the Olympic closing ceremony. Maybe if Jenas had followed through and not just flirted over text the women may not have taken the issue to management, hell hath no fury etc. as far as I can see, if either of the women asked him to stop and he didn’t then he deserves everything coming to him, if however he either stopped texting when asked to OR thought better of it and stopped after feeling guilty it’s a non issue IF you are genuinely an adult .
This is a non story and the Sun sees it as front page news?? 🙄 Seriously, other than his wife, who gives a crap??? The whole thing's pathetic! Anyone who's even interested in this needs to get a life!!
The BBC really can't catch a break, can they? Anyone would think they seem to always be doing the wrong thing, i mean, even a broken clock is right twice a day, but not the BBC. Defund now.
We only really have his word for it that he thought it was consenting adults. Maybe he thought it was but the women didn't want things to go so far and I wouldn't believe a potential cheat anyway
...but why have the BBC made this such a big deal? It's obviously a big issue for his wife but the BBC can hardly claim any moral or ethical high ground due to past and current form. If the BBC is trying to set an example that adults shouldn't flirt, there are far more sinister activities going on within the corporation that they seem only too happy to turn a blind eye to. They're notorious for having a huge carpet and an even larger brush (when it suits their agenda). 🤔
He was stupid doing what he did in his position either way. I can't be doing with how woke SKY Sports and the BBC is these days but do people not realise almost every text and email can be traced. I buy a household item in the supermarket and 5 mins later RU-vid is showing an advert relating to it. Nothing is private. The days are long gone when celebs screwing around could get away with it.
