As a former D1 1st team all conference mw LB, I have never seen a more complete back. His ability to bounce off and break tackle amazes me. Just watched this dude against my School. We did well. He has heart above the Lion.
@@SabrinaTaylor-s1r cu buffs would shut that clown down because he's just to weak to ever try to go up against any team that's coach by deion and you know it
@@SabrinaTaylor-s1rthere’s a new king every year ain’t it? And he still has at least 6 college games left, King Bo Jackson wasn’t what he should’ve been. Just enjoy these athletes and stop placing labels on them.
@@saintlou3142 grown men amongst a bunch of boys tho. Think of Saquon and a few more that were elite until they got to the league. The reason the running back is mainly irrelevant is because the league was redesigned to stop Barry Sanders in the aftermath.
@@saintlou3142 it seems you have a comprehension problem. I never said he was irrelevant but he isn't as effective as he was in his first few years. You can be in denial, but it still won't change the facts.
Reminds me of Barry Sanders, not in the electrifying how did he get away, but the strength, bouncing off tacklers, and the break away speed that he rarely gets caught. Hope me makes it to the next level and thrives there as well...
He’s also the first RB since Barry to command more attention than the quarterback. Crazy to watch how defenses gameplan him, the one that’s worked the best so far was UNLV sacrificing their fastest LB to shadow him. Left such a large gap their QB ran for like 70 lol
How he isn't #1 on Heisman watch lists is absolutely insane to me. He is among elite competition, for sure, but this dude...he is something else. Bounces off tacklers, jukes, spins, stiff arms, outruns tacklers, he does it all and he does it better than anyone else right now.
Never thought I’d say this or even live to see it happen again, but this guy is this generation’s Barry Sanders. Uncanny how similar he runs to Barry. Like Kobe was to MJ.
He’s not the biggest , but he has extremely good patience and a super strong center of gravity . He just bounces off tackles. Super smooth runner too like arian foster .
Ironically I think his "lack" of size helps him because his excellent running technique makes up for short legs. Yeah he's only 5'9, but he's 215. That is YOKED. And it keeps his center of gravity low as hell so it's nearly impossible for defenders to get under him. When they do, he has absolute tree trunks for legs so it's still not a guaranteed tackle.
@@kja6336 We'll see. I think Jeanty's good. But I have my doubts about how he'll translate to the NFL. I'm not sure his tackle breaking ability is sustainable along with his stiff hips. Not in the pros. Derrick Henry, CMC, and Saquon. Saquon was unreal to watch.
@@jadenblackerby3325 CMC, Henry and Saquon didn’t have half as good starts to their seasons as Jeanty. Through the same amount of games in his Heisman season, Henry had 700 yards and ONLY 300 after contact. Jeanty has 800 yards after contact and 1300 yards. They showed this on ESPN, they’ll keep showing how absurd Jeanty is every time he plays if you want to know. CMC is more comparable because of their style, maybe Jeanty doesn’t hold up but he doesn’t have injury history. All the RBs with injury problems in the NFL had same issues in college. You can’t hate on the one guy for being young and then lost those guys as better RBs lol if your first thought isn’t Reggie Bush you’re too young. Like bro he’s on pace with Barry Sanders in a league that makes it 4x harder to run, only Barry, Bush and Jeanty move defenses with every step, and all did it with ass fronts
@@kja6336 The thing is, what if he's unable to break tackles at the next level? If he can't break those first tackles, he'd be averaging about 2-3 yards per carry. Against pro defenders he won't be able to shake it off, especially since he doesn't have any sort of elite acceleration laterally, or even at all.
What people fail to keep in mind when making “he’s going to be the next great NFL back and he’s the best in the past 10 years” comments is the better an athlete is in college, the better chance he has at landing on a terrible professional team. He may get lucky but top 10 guys usually have to get lucky to come out rolling in the league. Or they have to be special, and there were thousands of college greats that didn’t do too much in the league. Reggie Bush had arguably the greatest college football career ever and during his tenure there wasn’t a football player on any level more exciting to watch than him. He had a 10 year career (at least I think so) but a guy like him coming out of college, people thought what y’all saying about this dude, the next great and he ain’t playing against the steady competition Reggie faced. He’s too small to go crazy in the league, short is okay but he ain’t got the tree stumps Barry and Jones Drew had to keep that up against 6’3 330 across the front line then 6’4 250 across the second every week. He gotta get thicker or else he’ll fade as many do. Do yall remember Jacquizz Rodgers? Lil short stumpy dude, hell of a college running back that wasn’t on a great team but balled out. This dude reminds me of him. Faster Forsure but Rodger’s was a dawg in college, they not thick enough to be short and dominant guys in the league. Barry messed that up for short guys, Saquon was doing what this dude doing in college wasn’t he? I think I just said all that to say, just enjoy this young dude, let him ball out and finish the season before yall start calling him the best ever or the best in the past 15 years, I wish him health and continued success but he can still get hurt at any moment plus they half way thru the season.
Got speed balance power vision and he doesn't get caught in the open field i bet hes moving up on every team draft board...........Dallas Cowboys could use his services
Using numbers in Heisman isn’t a new thing. Schools have done it for years promoting their Heisman candidate. Michigan was using HEI5MAN when for Jabril Peppers & USC was using HEI2MAN for Adoree Jackson. There’s many more
hard to judge based on hole sizes. Remember those old Miami Hurricane Teams stacked 3-4 deep with NFLers at each position punching massive holes for F Gore, W McGahee, C Portis, E James and the likes
@cabie58 Yeah I remember but that Miami team had McKinnie and those guys creating holes for him. I respect it though, he is a great running back, I just want the position to return with the respect it deserves.
