" He was mine " Bayverse prime : Who ? Wait you mean that dude battletrap ? Bro chill out he already dead . Why you wanna kill so much that you upset an ally took care of an enemy ? Like damn.
i just love how the prowler theme is so great in memes, just a masterpiece and all that daniel pemberton did in spiderverse scores, fits many things, other franchises as well
The guy lost his Planet all of his friends and was betrayed by the same people he swore to protect and then witness his friend getting dissected how could you not psycho after that
@@MichaelChristol what? Bayverse prime didn't go psycho until Transformers 4 in a first movie he was calm and collected willing to sacrifice his life to prevent Megatron from getting the cube and throughout the movies all of his friends were brutally killed by the Decepticons and then he got blamed for letting Sentinel send the Army to destroy Chicago not to mention in this universe the Decepticons are ruthless so it's pretty Justified that he kills them in that kind of way because because they did the same thing the Wheeljack also people say Optimus has committed a lot of war crimes but Megatron literally did the same thing but worse he cost a whole planet to go to war and eventually it ended up at Wasteland
@@CrazinatorDark Of The Moon. Executing Sentinel when Sentinel cannot defend himself. Ripping Megatron's head off without a thought when the guy A, saved him, and B, was willing to negotiate a truce. Bayverse Prime has been a psychopath at least since 3. And that's not who Optimus is in ANY other media.
@cryosound6043 if you've read the comics you would know how much of a ass hole Sentinel Prime is he literally murdered Ironhide and was defenseless not to mention mocking him to. Sentinel Prime has committed war crimes against humanity when he literally brought a whole Army and killed dozens of people and lives and was willing to kill Optimus to achieve his goal not once but twice it was justified for him to put him down because leaving Megatron and Sentinel especially Sentinel they would have come up with a plan to kill off him and take over the Earth and make a new Cybertron in the movie he despise humans and seeing them as inferior insects just like Megatron it was clear that from the way they spoke to him he didn't like the way they treated him like they're machines they said before they were Gods once but here they call them machines he literally despise Humanity so what makes you think sparing the same guy that literally killed his own Ally In Cold Blood and doesn't look people alive would do any good? And don't forget Sentinel Prime ripped-off Optimus arm leaving him him defenseless and remember when he begged him not to kill him? He was literally going to kill him it wasn't for Megatron proving once again he had to be put down? Now Megatron deserve to die because he cost a whole planet to go to war that's a war crime and left a wasteland not to mention he has a lot of human bodies count and Autobots on his shoulder so you can say what you want Optimus Prime had a valid reason to kill them because they would literally do the same to him because once again the bayverse Decepticons are ruthless
For real, when they killed bee I was shook in the theatre. Bumblebee has always been a fan favourite, especially for me aswell, growing up in the 2000’s seeing bay’s version of films depicting Bee too, was just insane to me but then they brought him back and I was happy
It would have been a bit shocking if they hadn't shown him jumping out of the plane in the trailer. When it happened I was just like well he'll be back because we haven't seen the jumping out of the plane scene yet
Im kinda disappointed that I think I watched a bit too much spoilers, that I dont even surprised when bumblebee died just because I already knew that he was going to get revived later in the movie ;-;
as someone who grew up w/ the original Transformers when they were just toys and cartoons (and i think comics, i cant remember), Optimus has always been the calm, reverent and calculating leader of the Autobots, protective of his team and allies (human or otherwise) but i dont recall ever seeing or hearing him genuinely angry before. T:RotB shook me to my core to see Optimus be closed off and distrusting to anyone outside his circle, and then seeing his outrage towards Scourge for killing Bee ("First I'm going take back Scourge's key, and then I'm going to take his head...!") made me feel a shiver down my spine. it showed a completely different side of Optimus that seemed ooc based on my previous experiences watching him, but thats not to say i didnt enjoy every second of it. it made me love Optimus all the more because it made him more human and relatable. yea, Optimus was always a badass leader w/ respectable morals and beliefs, but this recent movie made him more human and i love that
Wasnt the originals more of a kid show though? That would give us more leeway for a not so kid friendly narrative in something today. You still can have morals and be just, but after fighting a war for an extremely long time AND loosing your home to it. Hell, I wouldnt still be all graceful either in the pursuit to implement what I believe in.
@silvy7394 oh for sure, but even the animations had some heavy topics. there were a couple times they touched on the topic of sacrifice and death, like how one of the animations actually killed off Optimus (iirc correctly he was "resurrected" later), but it was still overall geared towards children so they kept the darker tones to a minimum
Idk if youve seen them ofc, but there were comics. Interestingly since they were distributed by marvel they even did a few crossovers so you got covers of spiderman swinging around decepticons and stuff
G1 Prime still had his moments, like the sideswipe jetpack scene where he snaps at sideswipe after he just begins to object There's more, but thats the first that comes to mind, which is probably what he's going for Even if he's usually collected, there's always been a rage boiling beneath from how much he genuinely cares for his fellow cybertronians
@@silvy7394 The original got away with some horrific imagery just because the characters were robots. XD. Mainly the movie. But Jesus Primus Christ the Movie had no chill when it came to traumatizing children. Oh you like Ratchet, little Tim? Well screw you! He is dead! Now watch him melt from the inside as he screams in horror in the first 5 minutes of the movie!
"I'll show you- *gets drowned out in original Transformers score/BG foley work + meme boosted prowler music*" Wow what a great line, almost as great as that other, more audible line, "Give me your face" that was written out in the comment section. Haha, good one guys. I definitely know what he said.
After binging all the Bayverse films right before seeing ROTB, this Prime felt very tame. A cold calloused soldier when the time calls for it, but he still holds his honor above all and empathy for humanity and his fellow Autobots. Kinda like an old tired war vet dad robot only skeptical of the world because he knows how dangerous it is which is just what I wanna see. I like this Prime more. It feels more true to character while still keeping the more darker/intense storylines the live action films shoot for
thank you. this Prime is 100× better than bayverse. he's objectively better written, and he's enough of bayverse Prime to satisfy the monke brains but not too much to betray the character. it really does just feel like a different iteration of a character rather than Michael Bay jerking off to robots shouting and destroying each other.
For once I can't even get mad at unrealistic plot armor bc if they actually killed bee i could never forgive the writers. Even so, the "Oh Captain, My Captain" still stung a little
Killing off Bumblebee would have been a good move, hear me out. It would have made Optimus's battle with Scourge 10x more impactful knowing his rage towards him. Ofcourse it would have been devastating, but they could eventually find some way to bring him back in the next movie rather than him returning 20 minutes later.
@@jordanmince7613 I think there are some ridiculous versions in comics or something . But i wasn't talking about a literal battle here , just that people say Bayverse prime is too brutal and bloodthirsty while this one has same brutality with worse dialogue " he was mine " as an enemy already got killed by his ally , showing he wants as much kills on his hands as he can while the priority with Bayverse prime was getting rid of the threats that already did too much damage .
I always found this version of Optimus has a more justified anger than Bayverse Prime. Yes, Bayverse Prime did lose a lot in his life, but most of the things were out of his control. Live Action Reboot Prime, on the other hand, lost a lot in life that could've been prevented if he were more careful. There's losing a lot, and then there's losing a lot that could've been prevented.
Well he also died and the last words he hears was that he was “weak” due to him caring about Sam other than finishing the battle that he was winning. So that’s bound to have an effect
I absolutely love this meme of Bayformers Prime being this "Beast of Darkness from Berserk" type presence in all the other Prime's in the franchise. Just a being of pure, endless rage who tempts the more noble Prime's to give in and KILL.
Scourge: Shoots Bumblebee. Bumblee: Dies. Prime: When hope is gone, undo this lock. And send me forth on a moonlit walk. Release Restraint Level...Zero
They gave bro a reason to go feral and it was pretty deserved tbh I hope he develops into a more peaceful guy but I like this first arc and I think we are setting up for more arcs with prime
I was so disappointed on how they killed bee. I wish they would’ve like destroyed some part of his body. Just the way that he was killed compared to the others that he was destined to come back some part of the movie. If you’re gonna kill off a fan favorite do it right, do it at the climax of the movie, and have it end right there and maybe bring him back the next movie, that would’ve really tugged on my heart strings
What's weird is Apelinq actually has hole when Scourge shoot him but Bee is just.. fine.. well he's dead during that time but the damage he sustain is minimum.
@@Villagerwarriorscrouge has multiple abilities not explained well in the film. He just harvested bee's energon which from scourge perspective does not make sense unless the hole he blew in apelink uses a lot of power. I'm guessing that that's the case since he went in that fight full force as a 1v1, while optimus was still there for when bumblebee died., and could lve then lost to optimus.
It's just a cheap death of a character who's an npc the whole movie , the movie tries to play it as some major tragic death so much it's almost funny cuz Mirage's is the one which should be considered that . But they make Optimus go " i'll pretend i didn't see that " there . Bee's death screams he's not gonna get revived because he's supposed to be an important character in the overall story even though he's an npc in this movie.
The worst part about how Optimus DROPPED that mf is that their heart and everything like that is located in the chest, shooting there is a near instant death. So what he did was basically let him feel his spine leave his shoulders and let him feel the laval burn his back and let him feel his arms being completely sliced off, it is a GENUINELY brutal way to go
Optimus shouldn't be all cute and cuddly, and his anger is one hundred percent justified in this movie. What the writers shouldn't be afraid of is making Optimus, the good guy, a good guy. "If your gonna be a hero, Peter, be strong enough to be gentle." That quote is from Peter Cullen's own brother, ex military himself if I recall correctly, when advising him on his role as Optimus way back when. Optimus should be an honorable warrior, not a bloodthirsty killer. If I wanted a bloodthirsty sci-fi battle of brainwahsed war machines, I'd read some Warhammer 40k.
Bumblebee: *dies* Optimus Prime: MY ONLY SON! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! *proceeds to enter psychopath mode and murders scourge* ES Megatron: And HE'S GONE BATSCRAP CRAZY! GET A FRAGGING THERAPIST FOR OPTIMUS PRIME RIGHT NOW!
I would say given how wild the TF universe is, Shrink Ray tech wouldn't be that out of reach. Or if they traveled through a certain wormhole they get shrunk. Could be interesting.
Bro, it’s like 3am and I’m tryna sleep in my parents room while watching this, when I tried to turn up the volume, it went all the way up even though I only clicked it once. My parents heard Optimus prime say *NO* while on max volume 😭
So when are we gonna finally get bee talking again. With the amount of bots they killed you’d think someone like wheeljack could take a voice box and jam it in his neck
I get that we didn’t have a lot of Beast action in this movie, but it still has so much depth to it, I give it a pass. I love that they gave Optimus the character of a leader who is starting to wonder if the war is worth it - sort of like in the IDW comics. I like seeing the comparison here Also, I am DYING to see a Megatron backstory!!! Please, give me a movie where it sets the stage for the whole Transformers thing, with Meg saying that one hard ass line, “I heard it said we earn wisdom through suffering, and tonight I intend to make you very, very wise.”
And now Ima say something. This VALIDATES Bayverse Prime *MORE*. You wanna know why? Because for millions of years, Bayverse Prime fought that war and watched countless of his friends, his brothers and sisters, die. Bayverse is realistic.
Watch G1 meatriders still doing a pathetic attempt at wannabe critic nonsense to say Bayverse prime is still bad and this one good , when it's literally the opposite with the same level of brutality and worse dialogue " he was mine " as battletrap is already dying by getting his head bashed in , all because this one looks a little closer to being childish . The real reason was never brutality , people will jump over any level of reasoning and do ridiculous mental gymnastics when they get the one thing they truly want , and it's violence with the robots looking more G1 like in this case .
Their typical reasoning : So what if Bee npc the whole movie he supposed to be important and cool robot so his death truly tragic( Mirage you get tf outta here we'll talk to you later) and Optimus psychopathy justified . Bayverse prime do that when Bee isn't even dead , he does that for other robots and human deaths so lame . We decide Bee is personal for Optimus because Bee is personal for us , others are disposables . Bayverse optimus say every being has right to freedom but he doesn't let the decepticons have right to oppression , mass murders and complete extinction of humans . He also kill defenseless enemies but Rotb optimus doesn't cuz whoever he kill they a threat without half of their limbs to their last breath . Bayverse prime kill brutally but Rotb does only because it was important to sever battletrap's hand then leg before trying to kill him , it was also really important to stab Scourge in the chest , ripping off his limbs , shoving him into lava before killing him by ripping his head out with spine trust me bro in bayverse they were peaceloving creatures from the start and became even more peaceloving by taking a punch from prime , Rotb is much more justified cuz he lost much more than bayverse optimus cuz bee is cool robot as already explained . We swear we care about all this and aren't just saying it to feel morally superior about our action figure preference .
It is interesting that upon movie sequeales if you notice that optimus fighting would become more and more ruthess as he is accepting the fact it is kill or killed
Ppl always be like "bayverse prime was a murderous psychopath" but I mean if I was fighting a war for literal millions of years against an enemy that ultimately led to my planets destruction I would be pretty damn pissed to
I love this edit. Only thing I might change is the black and white still image to something else. Maybe flashes of other traumatic moments for Optimus. Great job, loved this.
This OP was the best balance between the geewunner's hero and my personal favorite OP from Bayverse. He has the sheer brutality of BV and the humble, caring nobility of G1.
It feels like in beast hunters, megs got "hi" and mighty and killed bee (momentarily) And prime decided to put the fear of God in his soul. It's like prime T-bagging him wasn't enough, so he had to end the crackheads life, but in. Rotb, he actually pulls an endgame and offs him. (Sry about the rammbling, I just saw more parallels with his more level headed prime counterpart. IN SUMMARY IT WAS PERSONAL)
