given that he gets resurrected in every rendition of him at least once, it is believable that he is actually just immortal by fate due to all the previous Primes being dead and using their power to keep him on wheels.
@@ChampagneThrottleAnother cut scene immediately after this one showed him dumping Transit's corpse in a river, revealing dozens of dead Decepticons oiled up at the bottom. Mf was cold.
I pretty sure ALL Optimus prime have bayverse level of Power(and many times actually more)they Just didn't got in a world so fucked up for them to actually need to go 100% cold and unmercifull
@@somebody6235Fuck that this version made him look like an absolute *MENACE* the moment he pulled out the gun and the glare as it was charging up is so cold it's unbelievable that is Optimus Prime
I like to imagine that Bayverse Prime exists in all versions of Optimus, like a dark spectre of violent retribution that takes over every aspect of himself until he successfully slaughters all Deceptions in his presence.
@@hesiod_delta9209bayverse prime could’ve worked perfectly fine with just a *little* more context established about the cybertron war and what he went through. That’s, what, one extra scene added? It’s not rocket science!
I really love this scene. It shows that Optimus is really that desperate to get the Autobots back to Cybertron and is willing to even kill anyone who stands in his way
Jokes aside, the Prowler theme hauntingly fits with the scene, especially the part where Prime start to slice and dice Transit until the end of the video.
Those are the eyes of a jaded, PTSD-riddled soldier that doesn't want to see anymore of his people die and will do whatever it takes to do that. _No matter the cost._
@@Leftyproductionss Least he's acting like Optimus this time. A cold, emotionless form of him at times, but a hero nonetheless who sees life as a priority over bloodlust.
I agree with you, for a seemingly random decepticon this is pretty brutal for him, this is almost like a direct parallel to how he merciless killed that huge decepticon from the highway
To be fair to the 'Cons, the Autobots were their version of the """establishment""". To be bluntly honest, years of war can change a meek librarian into the most hardened Warrior, and it's easy to sever much of the empathy he once harbored when it got his entire command killed.
I'm not a huge fan of how brutal Bayverse Prime is, but I honestly kinda like this scene? I think mainly because while he straight up murders that guy, it's not overly brutal. There's a haunting amount of precision in how he kills him. No torture, no playing around, just cold, pragmatic efficiency. It captures in a strange way how, while Optimus is a peaceful being who detests violence, he's not afraid to put you down if you threaten others.
Optimus Prime is still a soldier at the end of the day, he did offer Transit and out and was forced to offline him. He was likely dying from his injuries anyway
He was not forced too, last i checked, the entire autobot cause is suppose to resort to violence as a last call. In this case, once prime had him down and immobilized, optimus should have kept him prisoner, and have rachet tend to his injuries. THAT is optimus.
@@normanbestboi9117 He’s in Peru, Transit isn’t surviving that long. If anything, Optimus finishing him off was merciful as it saved him from a slow painful death from his battle wounds.
Why can't people ever show Prime being efficient and brutal in a fight without making him seem like a psycho 🙄 like yeah obviously thematically taking a life would be something that would weigh on him but it shouldn't be a straight up execution of a helpless unarmed enemy, he's not a U.S. soldier for gods sake
Starscream : "Lord Megatron you are severely injured, who did this?" Megatron : "Optimus Prime." Starscream : "How?" Megatron : "He only said one thing" Optimus : *"You know Megatron, since the Fall of Cybertron there was no option to let out my rage cause i always acted peacefully, but today is the day where i can say that i am fucking tired of your bullshit."*
I would have kept this scene in there. It's a great contrast to the previous time we saw Optimus in this continuity, the start of Bumblebee. He's more cynical than he was, less merciful and I'd rather be given a cool visual of his change earlier in the movie than just having other characters explain to us how he feels guilty for them leaving their home. (also, let's be honest. This movie couldn't have been made worse for them adding the scene back in could it.)
i just love how it portays his perception and reflexes in battle more than just being fast and accurate. that shot where he grabbed the cons arm before it could fully transform into a blaster was peak, "no you fuckin dont!" energy.
The most fucked up part is either Transit knew he was gonna die before he arrived and was just that committed to fucking with Optimus, or he was fully ready to be stranded on Earth even if he won. Extreme hater energy.
Man, optimus as a hero leader is admirable. But him as evil Is so freaking scary. I think an evil version of this optimus is scarier than bayverse's nemesis prime. My bet is that the savage, cruel, and merciless factor of this optimus makes him more frightening.
