I'm a big fan of Lerrone Richards and I love his boxing style, although I know it is not for everyone. I just think that his career has been poorly managed. He's missed out on good opportunities and has experienced several periods of long inactivity between fights. I thought that winning the IBO at the end of last year would open many more doors for him, but that doesn't seem to have worked out. I hope that this is the start of a new chapter and that his career progresses well in the right direction from this point forward, because he definitely still has the talent to go so far.

Richards does not pose that kind of threat and squeaked out a split decision against him in the UK. Akhmedov beats Richards comfortably that's why he sabotaged his own career with matchroom to duck him.
