It always feels so deeply fascinating to get to hear native people talk about their cultural religious beliefs. I'm not religious personally and find most organized religions to be pandering but the way native people talk about spirits feel so real and connected to earth and nature which is really interesting.
Because spiritual energy is real, there's energy and elements that we can't see and don't even know exist. A lot of people have this misconception that science is all-knowing, but it isn't. It's just a collection of known facts coupled in with theories. We know so little and it bothers me that so many discount what we can't even disprove.
Working in healthcare I've seen souls pass and it's real. The most personal instance was when my aunt needed hospice care so of course i volunteered, and on my regular routine I came to check on her about 20 minutes before she went but I didn't know at the time, she was looking around smiling and singing in what was either jibberish or another language I've never heard, and reaching for something in the air like ppl were surrounding her, and even like she was caressing someones face and holding their hand, it was beautiful and sad, but truly amazing. I was trying to talk to her but she didn't pay me no mind, whatever she saw was completely awe inspiring and she didnt even care what I was talkin about lol, love you tia, I know you're still here with me 💖
You should watch NDE's. I watched about 50 and read a couple books. Changed my worldview completely. "Vinney Todd Tolman NDE" is a great one. Enjoy gaming :3
Oh looks like my comments get deleted again. I just said watching NDE's would be nice for you I guess. Vinney Todd Tolman's NDE is really nice. Changed my worldview watching them. Hope this time it does not get deleted. Enjoy gaming :3
Very similar situation for me when my grandpa was in home hospice. Around the end he was talking to people we could not see and wouldn’t interact with us. There was also ghostly activity about a month around the date of his passing. Like things moving, lights/electronics turning on and off, random sounds, etc. it’s very interesting how both realms collide
I am a massage therapist I have seen people’s spirit hover over their body when they are deep relaxation. I seen energy leave their body when their adhesions are released.
I am Lipan Apache. Close relatives to the Diné (Navajo). I'm sure Shanclen's clans, and others, warn him about talking about this to the magaani (non natives). Our traditions and cultural practices are only meant for those of our same tribe. He should only talk about these things to a very select number of people. I, myself, am a medicine man of sorts. I remove bad spirits and bad energy from people. But only those people who deserve it and don't abuse my culture. I hope this helps you all. ---- Leroy Strong Cloud.
@@leroypena5113I am grateful when I learn about the knowledge and skills that indigenous people hold for dealing with spirit. I am a Celt and my own indigenous ancestors passed a spiritual sensitivity to me but their wisdom and healing methods were lost. We need to respect and help each other to deal with realities that are often not seen with the eyes but can bring blessings or problems.
My late husband was Cherokee, I was the only one allowed to cut his hair because of how we "secured" it. He's gone on to his hunting ground 20+ years ago, I still have his hair "protected", I still love him dearly.

I was born and raised in one of the places mentioned. They are very real, and taken seriously by all in the area. I’ve had at least 2 encounters, even in town; almost everyone I talk to from the area has a story about skinwalkers. Bless this guy for sharing his stories and fighting that evil 💙
I was hooked for the whole video. He has such a calm and wise energy, and the stories he told were mind blowing. He made me understand what happens after death, and the reasoning behind certain places being haunted makes perfect sense. What he said about them trying to find a loved one’s soul after an unexpected death was beautiful. That’s a whole other level of love.
Like he said, every culture or religion has this. Like Christians, we pray for the soul of our loved ones who have passed. It's kinda the same, but different. It's beautiful how God teaches and reaches us all. ❤

Same! I dont even watch videos like this. This man knew some stuff. I had sleep paralysis at the cook county jail chicago. I was looking at myself laying there from above and i couldnt move. Its happened 2 or 3 times in my life.

i appreciate what you've done here. people think stuff like this is a joke, but it's as real as you and me. education is key, so thank you for doing this, even tho it's incredibly dangerous.
People, especially young and foolish ones, who think chasing (most likely actually being chased) these beings is fun and harmless actually scare me to death. I’ve seen, heard, and felt things I could never explain. In the most benign-appearing moments. In some, I’ve known better than to react, respond, or let my words, state of mind, or physical movements give away my awareness. It’s an intuitive response that many times I only recognized later as self-defense or protection. Because I was taught discernment. The first thing to learn for my safety. No other teaching, next step followed. I knew it was not for me beyond a certain point. I can honestly say without that teaching I’d be long gone by now because my curiosity was limitless. People who read these comments: if you don’t know better, DON’T PLAY with what you THINK is not so bad, mostly harmless, or can’t affect you after you’re gone. Wiser humans, like this man are not exaggerating for fun. Notice when he’s not speaking he’s not ALWAYS smiling. He’s aware of every single thing around him. Don’t play. Take your toys and go home before you become one yourself, living in torment. Might just appear that you’re just having a streak of bad luck afterwards. Is playing around with indigenous beings until they’re clearly aware of and waiting for you to slip up accidentally or ignorantly really how you want YOUR ghost story to play out? Listen to this warrior. He KNOWS.❤
It’s real alright. I never realized how closely natives dance with the dark side though. Seems very dangerous indeed. This is what I believe: Earth is hell. We’re all paying dues and that’s why we’re here. Psychopaths and people with NPD are the demons (walking among us) and animals are Angels who volunteered to come down just to get us through it. Obviously the spiritual realm is something completely different though. There is definitely great evil here but God’s spirit is everywhere as well. Stay on His side and you’ll be a lot safer. Just my personal thoughts and opinions though.
When will the government disclose this publicly? They have been hinting at it for quite some time, they have already disclosed aliens and some whistleblowers have been leaking some very dark things to the media, things that I won’t mention here
Hey from Canada, I'm an indigenous woman from the Nipissing First Nations from the Garden Village indigenous people in the province Ontario. We don't speak of these things. We speak of our spirits being guided by our spirit animal. When we go on our spirit journey, after our body has passed, our spirit is sent on its journey with offerings of tobacco, the smoke from sweet grass in a fire beacon and the playing of the drums. After 12 moons have passed we have another beacon fire to finally guide our spirit home. Might sound strange but that's the way and it's been so for generations. Just wanted to share this tradition.
So…you have to wonder about amongst these things for a whole year? That seems scary and sad. If you’re a good soul, then Home should welcome you at any time, no? Not docking your beliefs but that just sounds so sinister to me. Like…you still have to pay dues even after this life.
@@supernova11711 maybe I didn't explain it properly. Our spirit is guided by our spirit animal and the spirits of our ancestors who have passed and are waiting for us to guide us on our spirit journey. It takes 12 months to complete your life cycle. I thank you for your opinion and respecting other's beliefs. 👍🏼😁
The 12 month journey sounds very similar to Egyptian tradition where the soul takes a number of months to complete the journey to the underworld and there after the judgment and final place of rest
I’m Navajo. When my great grandpa was dying, the medicine man of our clan. Everyone told us not to leave ‘so & so’ with him. From what I understand she was a dark witch, wanting to take his soul. She wanted to keep ‘a piece of him’.
I wonder if I may ask your opinion on something. In white religions, there were whole generations lost to the frenzy of discovering and eliminating 'witches". Do you have thoughts why if there are suspicions of someone working in the dark ways, there are no tests or proof to stop them from hurting others, to keep those in their community safe?
I’m indigenous Mohawk Iroquois and proud. Much respect young man. Our culture is oral. Be proud you heard these words. I’ve heard many stories from others. Thank you ! Much love to the Navajo nation.
I don't usually watch your channel, but when I saw Shanclen in the thumbnail I had to tune in. He's a spiritual bad ass. He strikes me as a man of strong character.
The term Skinwalker is overused by a lot of investigators today not knowing what it means. I'm glad you got a tribe member to explain Skinwalkers so that the term is not wrongly overused. 🙏 Aloha Hawaiian Style.
Definitely. It kinda pisses me off that many of them are just white investigators with no desire to educate themselves. They just want clicks. So they throw around terms like Skinwalker, Demon, Witch or Wendigo.
thats why being gay is promoted. lust and greed look how many hos there is nowadays not one person faithful anymore. they are even brainwashing kids with liberal propaganda. america is evil
some of it is just mumbojumbo to sound significant. Like saying earth has places where the Creator cant hear you. Lol. how would he know that and why would the Creator put that type of limit on himself. its just nonsensical like clickbait.

Much appreciated for the story telling. A lot of it gave me chills. My family come from a tribal Shaman background from Asia and we have our own beings from different dimensions as well. Lots of this I can relate to. Especially when my grandma was going to pass she kept saying she saw relatives who were all around the room. In our practices there are also dark shamans too. And when people pass we also need to send them home spiritually.
What this guy is saying about the soul eaters chasing the spirits into homes makes so much sense to me because I thought it was so weird that every house I’ve lived in has been haunted to some extent, but with his explanation, I think it makes sense
I'm confused tho. He says those soul eaters were made by the "Creator" but those things have a negative vibe, look horrible and can't enter homes with a cross on it.
@@raiinzyyI know right ? I’m a bit confused about that too. But if The Creator did make them it would make sense for it to stop once it reaches sacred ground
I don’t know man…sounds to me like they might just be following you specifically. There’s many wonderful and loving spirits around also. Evil spirits don’t just reside elsewhere. I’ve encountered one evil entity at a home I lived at for a short time but when I left…it stayed there.
I'm not Native American but I do love that you did this interview. I am Maori on my mother's side, so we have similar stories, beliefs and people who do this. I grew up in a haunted house and no matter what school I went to when they did school camps, there was always some kind of paranormal shakedown from the spirit in the forest. Because the right prayers or permissions asked were not performed. Which always slammed my tween and teen self with a horrible sickness. I've now got 2 of my Maori ancestors who I work with when I do anything spiritual now, plus my mother who passed. I'm not an expert like he is I'm just self-taught by my spirit guides.
I love that the buck was set free. My family has taught me from my beginning to respect all life and knowing that buck was free gave me such a good feeling❤

My best friend of 13 years is Ojibwe and she told me a story of when she was young her grandfather took her on a hunting/camping excursion. She said one night she heard a woman crying for help. Her grandfather immediately told her to get in the tent and not to acknowledge it for anything. She said she heard walking and scratching around the tent the entire night till morning, one of the most unnerving experiences of her life she said. Anyone jokes about whistling at night she'll snap at them and tell them not to invite evil. I live in Florida and I don't know if there are any skinwalkers (or shape shifters) here, but I had something unnerving happen a year ago. I raise rabbits and I was in my barn late at night (3am-ish which ofc is the witching hour) and my barn door was closed. I was recording my rabbits showing friends and I heard a very clear whistle (that was picked up by the recording). My barn doors were closed and I live out in the middle of nowhere (woodlands). Could there have been someone skulking about? Maybe. I didn't investigate, I just went inside my house as fast as I could. ~8 years before that I was driving home with my Dad and we missed our turn so we travelled farther than usual. Upon turning around and heading back, there was something very pale and bipedal race in front of our van (almost hitting distance) and moved so fast it left an after image of itself in like a slow motion blur. My Dad and I looked at each other like WTF did you see that? Thank you for sharing your stories Shanclen!
I'm from California. That whistling experience you had is eerily similar to the experience I had. I used to live on the edge of a mountain, tons of valleys out back. One night I was having a cigarette with my best friend. Where our house sits, it's just a huge slope down and nothing but brush. I heard a faint whistling at the time, and my best friend couldn't heard it at first. When I started replicating it, the whistling got closer, and closer. I swear to God it was right behind the fence in a matter of seconds. You couldn't hear the sound of steps or anything. There was no feasible way if it was a person to travel that fast. It was unnatural. My best friend and I never booked it so quick inside the house. Really spooky experience. Years later I recounted the story to my Mexican friend whos uncle ran into it a few times. He told me there is a folklore of a spirit who whistles and likes to kill drunks. The farther its whistling, the closer it is, and vice versa. I forgot the name of the lore, but I'm sure you can find it on Google. Anyway, spooky stuff.
@@NeutralShades the farther it’s whistling, the closer it is?? Huh? So that means when you whistled back to it, and it got to the point where it sounded as if it was right on the other side of your fence, it wasn’t really at all, it was actually farther away?? And isn’t this about the w*ndigo…? Or something similar fs, it whistles and you’re not supposed to look directly at its eyes because it will kill you if you do.
I remember hearing stories from my parents about witches in their barrio turning into owl-like shapeshifters and crawling/scratching at peoples windows & rooftops. They’re called lechuzas (same word for owls) my family is from Chihuahua, Mexico.
@Tryxienyxie1 it said the lechuza whistles in the fog and if you whistle back it comes to get you. I'm not mexican so I don't know if that's true but it's what I was told.
What you are saying is beautiful, and the Navajo culture is beautiful but let's not go overboard.....this paranormal stuff is not scientifically proven
Just bc the science world doesn't acknowledge it. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The Science world of people don't want us to know our true origins & things we can't understand. They're there to overthrow these things They don't want us delving with the spiritual realm bc we could be more powerful than we are & over throughout government. But it's our right to choose as we please.

When I was 10, I went to sleepaway camp in Connecticut for about two months. We slept in a cabin in the woods, and twice a few kids woke up with white powder on their faces. We thought it was a prank done by the counselors but there was never a punchline. Now I'm thinking more deeply about this event.
@@Carlos-ku3mk True. And nobody ever claimed the "joke." No one ever said "haha, we got you." We just looked at each other trying to figure out what this powder was (it had no smell like baby powder would have), so...we just washed it off and never talked about it. This happened about three times over the course of the first month.
I'm from South Africa but I've always been interested in the native American history and culture but never knew anyone who was. But finding your page really helped me understand your culture more, so thank you!
I know I and others have experienced Skinwalker activity having been born and raised in Southern Utah...but moreso when I worked just outside of Zion National Park. There are more things that cannot be explained by logic and science than there are explainable. I am grateful for a deep friendship with my Navajo friend that showed me how to pray and protect myself with that sacred knowledge. It is real.
I was raised in AZ and have learned from many different tribes. He is right, and each tribe has different, but also similar tales of skinwalkers. Love the video.
This conversation causes me to reflect on those in my ancestral cultures who learned to shift. So much respect for Shanclen and his strong medicine. Really enjoy his smoking for protection
Doing research on near death experiences, thats exactly what people recall! They recall being in the dark, no loved one there to greet them, and seeing shadows, "terrifying things" kinda like the "upside down." So it makes sense they find refuge & safety in a home. It was only when people called out to their creator that they were then saved. Interesting that Shanclen mentions this!! This was really awesome, Colin! ❤
I have Native American Ancestry and I had. NDE and it was very dark. I prayed and worshipped GOD in my spirit because I couldn’t talk. But I’m here now and I definitely have a different outlook on life.
I feel like everyone experiences something different. I’ve also listened to many NDE testimonies and have never heard anyone recount what you just described.
@@supernova11711seems like when you have addictions and do or act in a bad behavior "partying and drinking lots", they get the darkness then being cone to torture you
@@Chris-ex5ed Perhaps. I tend to think that we experience what we expect or think we deserve. So if you think you’re going to hell, you’ll experience your version of that. In the (granting limited) research I did into NDE’s the thing that struck me was that things looked different to different people. Most people described Heaven quite similarly but hell seemed contingent on the individuals beliefs. I believe our own spirits torture themselves if that’s what they think they deserve. Some realize a lot more quickly than others that they can choose to leave that place, it just depends what they did in this life and how much they feel they have to atone for. I truly believe Heaven is our home and we’ll all eventually return. Some of us just have a (LOT) longer journey than others. Who knows though. I do believe in evil entities and demons and such. I have no idea where they come in. Soulless creatures trying to keep us away from happiness as long as possible? Maybe they’re just lost souls and will too (through many, many lives) return to the light eventually? I don’t believe in Satan. I don’t believe in a God that would ever torture anything He loved for eternity. I’m a humble human and there’s nothing my loved ones could do to make me wish that upon them. Am I to believe my love is greater than God’s? Absolutely not. That’s why religions seems like blasphemy to me. They’re cults. Anyway, I digress lol
❤ After my son passed away unexpected in our house. I prayed to God and told HIM my sorrow and I could not deal with such pain The next day I went outside and believe it or not but my vision was so clear that I saw 2 Angel's flying above the clouds and they were in white and huge wings and I saw a sparkle that came from one of the Angel's waist. I did not wanted to blink for fear that I would not see it anymore but they disappeared.
Everytime I am scared to go to sleep I have these horrible dreams. You made me think about it as a connection to the dark world. Be strong with your beliefs and dark spirits will stay away from you. Great advice!
I do not mean to go against you I’d just like to say something you may find insightful. I’m saying this from the orthodox christian position. It is possible for God to protect you from the demonic, and it is possible that thinking holy thoughts and aligning your will more closely with God’s can guard you against the demonic. However we are not called to believe and act as if God will protect us and a pure heart will ward off demons. In fact we are told that in this life, on this earth in these bodies, the closer we grow towards God, the more demonic attacks we will have to endure. Your defenses will be stronger, but their attacks will become harsher and more cunning. A thief wants your money and valuable possessions. They are not interested in accosting someone who is poor. Demons want your soul, which is intensely valuable, and they want to lead you astray from God by any means necessary. So what logically follows if there is a person who is not being attacked or tempted by demons at all? It certainly doesn’t follow that they are in no danger, in fact it is a sign that you are in the most precarious position possible. The demons have no need to bring their attention to you because they see that you are dead set on a path away from God, and they have no need to prod you off of that path. Now just to be clear, I of course do not mean that you can gauge the correctness of your beliefs or your relationship with God based on how much you are being attacked demonically. Attacks come in many forms and they are curated for individuals; most of them tend to go totally unnoticed by us because they are cunning. “But even if we, or an angel from Heaven, preach to you any other gospel than that which we have preached, let him be accursed.” Someone who is having constant night terrors is almost certainly under demonic attack, but someone else who is experiencing the same thing probably isn’t having that happen to them for the same reasons. Someone who is living the high life, with a totally lavish sinful lifestyle is under a lot of demonic attack, but at that point they are not even perceiving it an attacks because they love it so much. A very pure hearted mother may be constantly plagued with demonic thoughts and imaginations because of some chink in her armor from childhood trauma that never healed. A similarly pure hearted mother may experience the same thoughts and imaginations, but doesn’t perceive it as an attack because she does not see it as sin and she is self righteous in her pure heartedness. It takes a lot of discernment to differentiate between these situations. TLDR no one is automatically safe from demons. The devil even came to tempt Jesus Christ. Being God, His defenses were perfect, so the attack had no effect. We cannot save ourselves, we can only walk with God so that our eyes and ears are open, our defenses strong and our legs ready to support us again when we inevitably stumble. These faculties will fail us if we are not walking in truth.
Yepp I used to be haunted by a bad spirit as a child and now it tries to scare me in my sleep but I no longer fear it so it only comes every few years going to get me off guard. It went from a shadow person to turning into my husband or child

You should also never use or ask it for help either because it comes with a price you can never pay back.
@@RecycledKittyLitteridk any real cultural reason, but light synonymous with good and dark with evil. Darkness everything is hidden and obscured, the light reveals everything, so naturally it makes sense that people with ill intent would gravitate to the dark over the light
I understand that if it's, like he said, opening communication to them and perking their ears. But, education is key. There are dumbasses out there who are uneducated and decide to go gallavanting on hunts regardless, be just for the thrills or the views. Besides, it'd be good for bringing balance back, as sharing this wisdom can inspire people to becoming positive medicinal shapeshifters again.
Exactly!! And they should never go looking for it. Im Lakota & I respect the medicine too much to be going ghost hunting trying to find skin walkers. There are some things that should only be talked about privately or within family but never to the whole world. Need to respect Creator🌻
Amazing insight into native culture - I loved this so much. Thank you so much to this wonderful gentleman for sharing - I could listen to him for hours!! ❤❤
This guy is gonna piss a lot of people off. He’s speaking the truth, and giving probably way more detail than needed. Just so you are aware, this is probably the best explanation of what they are and how they are dealt with or tolerated here. Keep in mind, they’re people, bad witches, not just creatures out to get you. Which makes it worse.
Such an amazing interview - and so important to hear; grateful to Shanclen for sharing his experiences and knowledge; he is such a calm and natural speaker, and he explains such complex spiritual topics in a clear and compelling way. Thank you for this interview!
I was recommended your video and im so glad I was! I always wanted to hear about Skinwalkers, not all those tiktok vids, but from an Indigenous person’s perspective. Thank you for sharing these stories with us. You are a great story teller, I saw everything in my minds eye. Cant even imagine experiencing those things.. I love your teachings at the end. Subscribed to you Shanclen ✅.
I grew up in the sticks of north Florida on quite a bit of land. When I was about nine years old, I remember hearing a girl calling my name for help in the woods as I got closer to it The Voice got further away until something in me told me to stop I got chills through my whole body as I realize I was being watched by something which then made me turn around and run back to the house, where I never walk through those woods again alone.
I used to hear people call my name always when i was a child, my Grandma used to get mad at me for answering lol we lived across a church n behind that Church was the cemetery...this happened only when i was out in the yard alone😳
On my spiritual journey in life, I have heard, seen, and felt many things, but I am still always left with so many questions that no amount of videos or personal investigating have been able to provide answers to. But this man right here, I feel like he just unlocked a door I've been searching for for so long. So much of what he said makes other things that I have experienced or deduced come together and make sense. I want to be his friend! I want to be an apprentice under him! Lol I could listen to his stories for daysss.
Just don’t fall for everything you see on RU-vid. Im Native also & this is the guy who said he killed a skinwalker but pulled out a wolf pelt that was not from a skin walker. You could clearly tell that it was from a man skinning a wolf. Basically , he trued to say he just chased it & killed it but clearly he didn’t😂😂😂.
I’m glad you did this interview. I see so many videos claiming skinwalkers and I try to explain what he said but no one listens. I hope people take note. A skinwalker just doesn’t creep around your suburb just to be a creep.
This video was so great I love how in depth you go into history. I’d love to see more videos about spiritual experiences and history. Awesome content as always 😊
