It's because the stories fascinate him so much, more than likely tied to his experience as a teen. I had similar experiences, not the same lol but really makes a person question reality and question everything that's mysterious or puzzling. It becomes a journey to understand these things better. And it becomes quite clear things that are taught to us as certain just aren't what they seem. It becomes clear that even the experts at times have no real idea of what they're talking about. From my research years ago into a lot of stories hes told just in the past few months are exactly what I've found in my extensive research. To note, he doesn't add anything to these stories, in fact he actually leaves details out, but it may be more due to the sheer amount of details some of these stories contain, that and time he actually has lol.

@@Vaille32 That's what I thought you meant. But actually it's called a 4 gauge shotgun and generally doesn't shoot slugs. It generally shoots many pellets and is used to shoot large birds such as geese. But it's the largest you can get and quite rare at that.
