Israel and Iran were friends until the Shah was overthrown. The Shah of Iran with his secret police SAVAK would abuse his people but the west was alright with that because he was a puppet of the west. SAVAKS head office was known as the fingernail factory. Iran did have democratic government but Britain and USA overthrew him and brought the Shah back. That was because the democratic government of Mosadec nationalized the oil industry in Iran.

Yes because the Shah raised oil prices which the US felt like was a betrayal so they turned a blind eye to the revolution. Emily argues that the Shah should be reinstated because that’s what the Iranian people want, which is not true. The Pahlavis regime was just as bad as they killed innocent civilians and protesters just like the current regime. But her tactic is to convince the US and the West to accept Israel striking Iran because that’s what the Iranian people want which is not true. The only “Iranians” that want the removal of the regime are the ones living in diaspora who will not be affected by Israel’s strikes against Iran. No Iranian person living in Iran will accept Israel bombing Iran. This is the same lie George Bush told in Iraq and Afghanistan and look how that turned out.

Major difference between countries like Iraq and Iran, is that the majority of Iranians do actually want regime change. It's hard to rise up against a government that uses live ammunition to disperse protests. A country that threw itself into abject poverty by nationalising the oil and natural gas industry. Then Saudi Arabia. Which is a wealthy stable country in the Middle East. And then Canada. I thought we found out that Iran threw some weak missle attack, that they knew would be blocked. Because the felt that they needed to have some public retaliatory response, to having an Embassy of theirs attacked so blatantly by Israel. An that Iran basically gave Israel a heads up of what they were going to do, before launching the strike.

Well Israel and the US can destroy much of Iran in a matter of weeks so Iran is not looking for a war , its a losing proposition which is why Iran signed the 2015 deal Its up to China and the US and the major powers to put pressure on Israel to avoid an escalation , Israel attacked Iran inside of Iranian soil killing diplomats and embassy staff in a brazen air raid attack on its embassy during regular work hours during the day , the attack also injured the Iranian ambassador and killed 2 security guards in charge of the gate , so Israel attacked Iran on Iranian soil but now all sides must deescalate , if China and the US increase pressure on Israel , Israel won't attack Iran . The idea that Iran is Muslim nation therefore we should let Israel destroy it is a bad idea , Iran won't respond with flowers I don't think
