Except the part about building a gallows and hanging public servants. That's not something I can ever get on board with. Why do these types of people have such a fascination with public executions anyway?
@@KlausBahnhofwhen you’ve had your life interfered with, and seen loss of life caused by these “public servants” and had experienced any kind of retribution for merely telling the truth, you’d be pretty vengeful too. If there were harsher sentences, people would behave lawfully. We are a lawless, corrupt complicit country.

These guys he is interviewing actually are a lot more on the looney conspiracy theorist side of things with the 'government doesn't want us to live off the land' agenda. The real argument is regarding its effectiveness, which as stated has been proven by scientists to eradicate pests, but it's more of a risk to benefit analysis, taking into account the runoff into the streams and rivers,the occasional native bird eating it, and then on top of that people not wanting game animals like deer to eat it because in some places that's one of the primary sources of food for the locals, and they don't want to be eating poisioned meat. That's more of the issue, hope that answers.
Not hard to see deer trail cams of deer dying from 1080 bleeding out of their swollen eyes. Can toss all the other shit but 1080 is a killer and the hunting community knows it well
Another certified DOI classic. Loved getting to meet some genuine West Coast locals. In all seriousness though, I always find myself conflicted when I see stories like these. On the one hand you have these people who see themselves as passionate defenders of New Zealand's environment and the liberty of it's citizens, people who clearly love this country and want to see it thrive. But then you get moments like when you asked about the war in Ukraine at 13:15, and I'm not going to pretend that their answers surprised me, but I still felt a twinge of disappointment nonetheless. Their attitude to the war in Ukraine is completely consistent with all their other crazy beliefs - chem-trails, anti-vax, Bill Gates wanting to depopulate the earth. The internet spreads this nonsense around the world. Luckily there are not many of these nutters in NZ.

Your interview and editing techniques are very effective. You make space for people to show who they are in a way that more strident interviewers do not. I do not agree with the beliefs expressed by these men but I appreciate the opportunity to hear what they have to say.
Didn't expect this to be so wholesome in feeling. These guys mean well tho they might seem to not be sure what they actually believe concerning some topics. But none of us have all the answers!
He's right about them wanting to take away your ability to fend for yourself, if you read the food bill legislation from 2010 abouts, it doesn't only say you can't keep seeds or give produce to your neighbours ...it also says armed enforcement officers can search, seize, or use deadly force if need be, research Monsanto- who they are?- what they're about?
Although these guys might have some pretty out there ideas, they have a fair amount of emotional intelligence. If you’d seen them first on some big main stream channel or news you’d be presented with a very different outlook. Well done guys.

Nah they seem alright if you look at the way the banking and monitary systems work and what the WEF does the depopultation theory dosent seem that unbilebvable it honestly makes alot of sense i dont think 1080 is a probolem for humans but it has had a negative affect on some of our wildlife that gets caught in the cross fire of eliminating pests
Yes, I agree with what you've said, the biggest problem I can see with 1080 is the fact that it can potentially poison untargetted animals, like game animals which some rely on as a food source, and even native birds. And I'm not entirely sure but I don't think it's very good for the waterways either, as of course everything drains down into them, and generally it's just not pleasant either when you're wading up a river and you see all of this green poison lining its banks.

I did think you could have gone deeper into the issues themselves but showing the humanity and friendships people have cultivated over the truth is something worth being reminded of in our age of social media conformity and the false narratives of fear and loathing. Their beliefs stem from fear and paranoia - not from evidence. If they had their way, the result would be the execution of public servants based purely upon their insane beliefs. Keep that in mind when you consider the 'humanity' on display here.

All I'll say about 10\80 is as a hunter it was a very queer feeling stalking through bush under an extremely quiet canopy that would normally be filled with the chorus of birdlife, and if you think our effects on the environment using chemical pollutants are beyond reproach because some scientists were paid to write supporting articles while others were paid to pier review them... Well ...

Regardless of right or wrong, it is nice to see people concerned for citizens being manipulated, suppose I would prefer that over people wanting me to be manipulated, whether its happening or not.

Well when you read enough, you will read enough to see how many times governments and authority figures lie, in order to do this you have to have the right genetics, if you dont have the right genetucs you wont be able to connect the dots. Long ago, the authority figures had many of these types of people killed because they didnt want anyone questioning what they said was the truth, but every now and then the old genetics come through. I feel sorry for people like you but theres no getting through to you, youre just lost, youll never understand, anything i try to explain to you youll just ask for more and more answers, you would never believe how deeply youve been lied to.
It's frustrating that these people combine the use of 1080 with all their conspiracy bullshit. 1080 has it's uses but the way DOC is using it is heavy handed and careless.
I loved the way you allowed their passion come to the foreground. It's a pity these souls feel like something powerful is attacking them and their way of life. It makes me sad for their situation.
Even though I think their ideas are ridiculous and overly skeptical, it's nice that they have each other for company. Calling for the execution of politicians because you think they have some hidden agenda too inflict harm is pretty concerning though. The line on your opinion is drawn at calling for violence.
Did you not see the harm they just inflicted on people in the last two years ? Do you think we live in a democracy ? The last two years tells us no we don’t . People lost a lot because they didn’t ( conform ) .

In proper science you don't claim to have proven something to be harmless or proveen to be true, if you stop questioning the findings then you have stopped being scientific Well I don't agree with all that they believe ( motives of the government..) I do agree that the politicians are corrupt. Funny how the greens were auntie 10/80 until they got power and are now the biggest supporters of its use. There is lots of misinformation on both sides of the 10/80 debate and having worked in the pest control business I wouldn't trust anything coming out of the government departments. We were often told one thing only to hear the complete opposite announced in a news conference the same week . I also worked for an organisation where the boss bragged about being paid to collect pig heads from hunters in 10/80d bush for testing for residual effects but deliberately got most of them from outside the poison zone.
