This is a beautiful story. I am honored Lisa called me her friend. Lori Craig and Amanda were kind enough to share Lisa with their church family. I am a better person because I knew her. During their darkest time Lori and Craig were my light and I will never forget that. Love you all! Shine on Lisa!

I worked with Down syndrome adults when I was a nurse. I'm retired now. They are the most loving and caring people. I loved my job.

❤❤❤I have a son who is now 33. He is severely autistic and the love of my life. I am a better person because of him. You are fantastic people and an inspiration to others.

What a beautiful story. My two year old granddaughter has Down Syndrome and she is amazing! I always tell people that her extra chromosome is one of joy- the joy she has for life and the joy she brings to all of us! I feel honored that I get to be a part of her life.

Retired Special Education teacher here! These parents are wonderful ! That doctor would have heard this from me. " Did you know it is harder to get into Vet School than to get into Medical school? Most Vets are more CARING than most MD's! IMHO!

What an amazing story. I’ve only been a caregiver for 8 years and I’m past able to cope. I don’t know how you did it. Of course, I’m 67 and a widow and I care for my adult brain injured daughter and her children as her husband was killed in the accident. My heart reaches out to you.

Lori and Craig... As Lisa's Aunt- growing up with Lisa... I never heard the rough part of your journey.. You absolutely breathed out love onto not only Lisa- but to me.. I learned compassion and love because of what you poured out to her.. I have no idea how you found the strength and will to find enough love left over to help raise me and encourage me- but that is who God shaped you to be because of Lee Marie.. I am forever grateful to look at these photos and know I was there too.. Thank you for the courageous compassion in your hearts.. I love you.

Damn!!!! I cried so much I had to stop watching so I could breathe! I worked with a woman with downs for many years with the same name, Lisa. She was just as the parents here mentioned their daughter to be. I took her appointment a few months before she passed and was very sick when I took her to this appointment. She looked at the doctor’s office lights “ I’m coming, dad!” Her father passed away a few years before.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I don’t think people understand when you have a child with a disability they are always with you. It’s such a big hole in your heart. I just lost my Autistic son from a massive brain hemorrhage. I miss Tony so much my heart is broken. She was a special girl with wonderful parents. God does not make mistakes.

Was touched hearing Lisa’s story. From my interactions with people with down syndrome was that these individuals love unconditionally.

There is nothing more important than feeling loved and accepted. I am so glad she had a dignified life with her family and that you were able to enjoy your lovely daughter for so many years. She had a beautiful life! Thanks for sharing with us!❤

I also worked with Down Syndrome children and adults at St. Agnews Hospital, from age 18 onwards. It is so so wonderful to see parents who loved their child as you did. Most of my patients never had a parent visit them!

I could have listen to you for hours. I had tears and a smile during the whole video, that was like a balm for the heart to feel so much love. What a real angel she was and she is, pouring love all around... And she was gifted the best parents, she was so blessed and so loved.

I worked with special needs adults and people with Down syndrome are wonderful! They are a blessing and a gift; not a curse and drain on society. They deserve everything we have and to be loved and given the same value all life deserves.

Your sweet daughter is an advanced soul, meaning, I truly believe this, when she wrote her very detailed chart on the other side, she knew life would be hard but took the challenge anyway. Appears to be she showed non down syndrome people the true meaning of love and compassion! She is watching everyone from home and her spirit is soaring..I never knew her but I will say in pictures her smile is radiant, beautiful and genuine! God bless you both, u did a terrific job taking care of her...

Thank you for sharing your daughter with us❤ My Mom was told the same about my Sister. She was told by the Nuns to not see the baby. My Mother had worked in genetics after college. She brought her home. My parents divorced. I’m so glad you United in love.

I've also a son with DS and I'am so happy with this Boy since 17,5 Years and my whole Family too...his 8 Sisters an Brothers goes to him,and takes a hugh when they are uncomfortet...he ever knew what People need.God bless you over your Lost.. she is in heaven without Down-Syndrome...❤

I am an RN in the ED dept.One of my fav patients are pts with Downs Syndrome.I have so much love for them because all you see are innocence,pureness and just full of love in their hearts.They are living angels.Whenever I get a hug from them,it just give me tears of joy.There is something in people with Downs syndrome that just makes me love them .I have so much joy when I get to take care of them and their families are always so wonderful.

I can't express how truly sorry i am for your loss. 😥 I have a 26 year old son with Down's and autism and I can't fathom the depth of grief I would feel if he wasn't around. Praying for peace for your family.

Same thing happened to us 52 years ago. The doctor told us to give up our son, l was 23, my husband was 19, but our pediatrician told us to take him home and love him. We did and is still healthy and happy and will live with us till we go home and our other2sons will take care of him. They love him, as much as we do. Bryan has been our blessing❤️❤️❤️

I have a Down Syndrome Nephew, and there are many DS that ive met. They are the sweetest kindest warmest people,who love giving hugs. Just quickly. As a 4 yr old,i nearly drowned. I remember seeing colours. Now,sunlight on water gives you colour. But these colours were beautiful. And the peace that i felt. I wasnt afraid. Then i was pulled out and someone preformed CPR. Bless this family. Hopefully ill get to meet Lisa when i pass. Ill look for the brightest light ❤

I’ve been very Blessed in life to be around Many children, worked with the elderly, & I also worked with a wide range of MR adults, & have been given Many hugs along the way!!! There IS something very Special when being gifted a hug, from an MR child or adult!!! I’m a better person for it, & I truly do believe, without any doubt, they’re our Angels on this earth. Yes! Times can get crazy, but they melt away with just a smile…hugs are GOLDEN!!!🥰🙏
