He literally retired a year ago. if there's anyone who's qualified to compare the old NFL to the New is a guy watched it since the 80s, played it since the 90s and played it professionally from 2000-2023. at the highest possible level. the one true goat.

100% correct as I’d expect. Great interview by the Reverend Smith. 1. The NFL should listen to TB12 with regard to some of these absurd rule changes! 2. He’s right about the players. You can’t improve if you listen to everyone saying how great you are or doing things that distract from evolving. Never imagined how difficult an adjustment to not seeing him playing. Look at all these teams needing a QB! He’s probably enjoying retirement but it must be tempting. 8 has a nice ring to it.

@pointyheadYT 5 месяцев назад
@@NarutofightsHD1 That rule was introduced for a very good reason... and has nothing to do with why there are more penalties nowadays. The guy that injured Brady in 2008 very clearly knew he couldn't stop his throw and wanted to purposefully injure him. Every single point he made was spot on. You can have a million followers for right now but without your continued success (based on hard work, discipline, work ethic, football knowledge, etc) it will not last. So yeah, If you are cool being a one and done then sure, do it, but if you want continued success & admiration and respect it’s earned a diff way. Also, the rules of the game changing & mediocrity, it’s so true!! AND above all that, he doesn’t take the credit! He gives the credit to all the people that came into his life that made him who he is! That’s extremely humbling & as much as I’ve loved him since the moment he took over for Bledsoe, I think I love him even more after this interview!! Oh, and P.S. if there is ANYONE out there that can hear this and watch this and still believe that this man cheated at any point in his career (deflategate, spygate, etc) then you are just simply a hater who will never give him the true respect and credit he deserves!!

As a Niners (and SF Giants) fan, it's nice to see Brady wearing a Giants cap but also hurts that the Niners front office seemed to be allergic to him. I feel we definitely would have gotten ring #6 if TB12 was our QB.

9ers could've threepeated by now, with the additions of Brady, Gronk and Fournette. He also probably would still be playing.

It's been said Brady could have won the MVP almost every year he played and I agree with it. Considering what everyone is saying about the Patriots now that he's gone it proves it in a way. I think naming the MVP trophy the Brady Trophy would be an appropriate result.

That’s my quarterback 🥹.. I think he’s really looking back and realizing how lucky he was to have Belicheck help his development. Also, people forget Brady came up in that era with some real dawgs now! He played when players were headhunting at an all time high.. remember the hit against the Bills in 2002 or 2003 that knocked his helmet smooth off so he knows, granted he has benefited from the rules but as someone said in the comments Brady still knew how to protect himself.

I think there was a lot of truth to what Brady said about the league regulating the game. The irony though, is that he can attribute some of his longevity in the league to those regulations, especially protecting QB's. 🤷🏾
@faalvey7559
@faalvey7559 5 месяцев назад
For sure but everyone does. And players in his era with the same benefits didn’t last nearly as long, Manning, Brees, Big Ben etc. And even with the league regulating the game a lot of young QBs can’t stay on the field/ healthy. a lot of Brady’s longevity comes from the fact he knew how to take a hit, when to get rid of the ball so he didn’t get hit, getting rid of it fast and taking care of his health/body more than anyone else. The dude was Ironman

@@brandonbates9259 i’m not disagreeing those quarterbacks aren’t good, but those new QB’s combine for a total of 3 MVP’s and the guys I listed have 12. Yes I know they’ve played longer, but today it feels like the gap between the best, and the worst is tighter allowing other guys to have a chance… where is back then 20 teams had zero chance.

People forget, Brady was a nobody. He struggled to get playing time at Michigan. He was almost Mr. Irrelevant in the Draft. He was the underdog his entire life. And he became the greatest to ever do it. That’s the epitome of inspiration. He wasn’t the most physically gifted, he didn’t have the strongest arm, he couldn’t run for shit. Hell, he probably doesn’t have the football I.Q. That Manning had. But he made himself great, and focused in on and perfected what he could do. He was deadly accurate, he could move in the pocket like nobody else could. He was a lifelong student. He was a natural-born leader, and could inspire those around him, and make them elevate their game. There’s so many life lessons to take away from this. Brady is incredible.

Brady understood the game like no other and players/coaches past and present know that, the way he explains playing against the likes of Ray Lewis that he had to protect his own players by where and when he threw the ball otherwise they would be knocked out the game, a chess grandmaster Brady. Today's QBs throw now think later and because of that and along with dumb receivers the NFL change the rules to avoid these kamikaze big hits and just throw flags and it's clear Brady sees the game going backwards, read a defence understand the scheme has gone, they just extend plays, backyard flag football.. Brady gonna rip the quality of play in the comm box next season and I'm all for it, great interview by Stephen A.

I totally agree. When you hear Manning, Ray Lewis, and Brady watch game film and staying late, you hardly hear about that anymore. Even Richard Sherman watching tendencies of WRs is now lost. It pains me to hear players like Kyler Murray that doesn't watch tape say that he does, you can see the proof on game time. No words. No contract clause needed. It's a tough game, especially the QB position. So I don't feel sorry for players like Trey Lance, Zach Wilson, Mac Jones, and others. Especially players that got their bag on their second contract like Murray, Deshaun Watson, Russell Wilson, and others. There is a fine line between greatness and losing your spot. Even with backups that go around from team to team, wait for your chance, you can plainly see their limitations. There are plenty of young players coming in to take your spot.
