If Jamal doesn’t get a 1-game suspension for all these various activities, then the NBA board isn’t doing their job.*

It's unbelievable to me that anyone can throw multiple things out on the court and not get suspended. If a fan threw something out on the court they are kicked out and lose their season tickets, sometimes lose the ability to ever go to a game again in that arena. The heating pack nearly made its way under Towns' foot and could have caused a serious injury. The NBA would look really bad if they do not suspend him. What he did was unprecedented and IF the league does not suspend him then the league sends a message to all players and all benches that they can throw not ONE but TWO items from the bench AT THE OFFICIALS and to the endangerment of the player, and at worst, get fined or T'd up and fined? Are you kidding me?

Dwayne Deadmon smacked (not threw, hit out of an assistant coach's hand) a massage gut that ended up on the court last year and was ejected from the game. The object did not end up near live play, so was not an injury risk, and was not intentionally aimed at a ref. This is worse in every respect, it was intentionally thrown instead of carelessly smacked, it was aimed at an official instead of being unaimed, the heating pad ended up in the middle of live play making it a much more severe player safety risk, and on top of that, this was the second object Murray threw at the official, with the first being a towel that landed right behind an official that if an alert ball boy did not actively pick up immediately, would likely have caused the ref to trip on the towel. The NBA official said after the game that throwing an object on the court without throwing it at someone is a tech, but after that towel was clearly thrown at the ref, it's clear that both object were thrown at the officials, which warrants automatic ejection from the game, and the refs never looked at it for whatever reason.

The biggest injustice about Jamal not getting suspended is he’d likely be one of the guys calling for a suspension if it was Antman who had thrown the heat pack on the floor instead of him.

If he doesn't get suspended, the NBA can never claim to care about player safety. This could have ended someone's entire career and was completely wreckless behavior.
