What an insane catch, that moment when you first saw the tail was an “oh crap!” moment if ever I’ve seen one. Really cool story to tell. Definitely one of those things nobody would believe if it wasn’t on film! Awesome video
Very nice Evenrude motor. I grew up with those motors, as well as Johnson and of course Mercury’s. In 1983, I was 12 years old, now I’m 50. Great fishing memories with those motors.
Respect for getting the hook out and not just cutting the line! And it wasn't even a treble! Thing would have come out on its own, but you took the hook out basically just to end the discomfort and small chance of infection. You're a rad dude!
@@remcovanvliet3018 Care to share the info? All I can find is that alligators have a great immune system, not that it's nearly impossible to get an infection. Not that don't believe you, it's just interesting and I'd love to know more.
I knew it as soon as you hooked it LOL. I was like "You got the Alligator part right, just wrong on the Gar part" LMAO! Kudos for getting the hook out man, my hats off to ya Ty!
extraordinary struggle to catch fish...i like this one...fishing in the sea which is full of challenges...hope you always stay healthy and happy. may God grant. Good luck my brother..
When I Was A Kid (Back In The Time Of Dinosaurs) There Used To Be An Expression Used When You Had A Real Struggle Going On,, "Having A Tiger By The Tail",, But Never Heard "Having A Gator By The Tail"..Lol.
Ol Gator was so cool! He was probably thinking, what the heck is this for thinking?!? I better let him see how long my tail is so he realizes he just hooked Godzilla! Lmao 🤣 And THEN He let you reel his butt in all that way and then he was just super cool when you grabbed his tail, pulled him up and got the hook out (At this point GatorZilla was probably thinking, "Ok he KNOWS he can't handle THIS! 😂 But I'ma let him get close and see if he gonna just turn me loose or not....... Which is course you did, then he went "FULL SPEED AHEAD!!!!! Dive Officer Submerge the ship!!!! DIVE! DIVE! DIVE! ",
It's insane to think that that gator was still a juvenile too.. still had its juvie stripes xD They fight back HARD, thats why they're my favorite animal.
That was an epic catch great job Ty. Keep up the Great RU-vid videos I love watching your videos. That Gator was massive for that little bitty test line that you had on that open rod and reel.
Fighting something ways too big than it's designed for. Come on Ty. We both know we can catch just about anything on any rig. Heck Id love to see you catch something big on a stick, string and a piece of gum. I catch Salmon on a Mitchell 300 with a 6 foot Ugly Stik. You go guy! Keep up the great fishing!
Good thing only snagged it. For if it bit your lure, it would have been over for sure! I have hooked a few small ones, and the fight never lasted very long!
Wow brother! Never a dull moment on your channel man! I guess that's what happens if you go fishing enough....WOW, Crazy and wild video but great job at getting that hook out too! 👍😳‼💯😅✌
@@TyPigPatrol is there a theory as to why it was so docile being pulled backwards by the tail? judging by the tail compared to others I've seen it looks like it could have been 8-10 feet, could you see its shape better than we see on camera?
These days people be going fishing 🎣 for fish 🐟 but end up hooking something else, which could be something that they wish they hadn't of 😱! They needed "Troy" from SWAMP PEOPLE!! May God 🙏 be with them because you never know what's on the hook at the bottom of the line!!!
No gators in ohio but those white Mr. Twister type grubs are awesome for moderately dirty water for bass pike and the occasional walleye... if the bluegills don't nip the tails off.
Did you send Godzilla back to Tokyo after you unhooked his tail from your jig? That gator was just thankful you pulled that hook out of his tail. Nice red fish by the way! That alligator was probably eating fish, turtles, the occasional fisherman....🤣🤣🤣
I have 2 KastKing Zephyr reels and they are my favorite reels. In total I have 5 KastKing reels all because I saw Ty using them and they are very budget friendly.
This is a silly question but, how do you take these kind of trips & the monsters y’all are catching? Are you financially set? Do you have sponsors that you’re using their products? I would love just even a TX fishing! Thank you for your conservation and care of these fish, as well as the care you’re leaving your fishing spots better than when you found it! Awesome!
Whenever I See A Nice Redfish Like That My Mind Immediately Goes To Making Some Creole/Cajun Redfish Courtboullion,, Some SERIOUSLY Good Eating..For Anyone Who Has Never Tried It,, I Would STRONGLY SUGGEST Trying It..I Would Also Suggest Having Some Nicely Toasted Garlic Bread For Dunking In The Courtboullion Sauce..YUM!!
