I love how he talked about giving your kids every opportunity and realizing that our kids just suck at somethings. Lol 😂 So true! I come from a so-called broken home, parents divorced, mom passed at 15, gangs, high school drop out, GED, you name it. But by the grace of God and hard work my family and I have a pretty good life in 2024 and I try to give my sons every tool and opportunity to be successful. But man you start to see that we are all humans and we have strengths and weaknesses and you can't just give your way out of a good life or so-called bad life for your kids. At the end of the day life is about decisions and we all need to make good decisions and we hope we teach our kiddos to make good decisions, as we all make bad ones from time to time and our kids are no different. Much love everyone!

Well that makes breast leak I imagine for some reason 😂 jk . You're sarcastic that's good enough for me you know it's not all that easy for instance say someone called you evil consistently told you it's your fault I'm in a gang and mom died at 15 not sure if dad was around but let's say you were taken in by those people who are being blamed, you now have God's grace what an influential story that might be without the plot right having to go to work with people you believe don't like you of course you probably know who plants that flag first but what about sharing space with those people how does that feeeel? Or you don't feel it maybe sense it? Or see it they treat you different talk to you different they probably behave different around their own huh? 😂 God's grace is only through hard work huh? I'm sure it's consistent hard work just to keep a friendly attitude going on with your enemies not my word something I heard not implying you have then anymore but being that gangs was listed in experience you have to know right? Anyway don't force a smile you could look weird doing it.

I first heard about Roland fryer when his report about a lack of bias in police fatalities broke the internet. Since then, I cannot claim to have been an ardent follower of his, but any time I come across him I listen to what he has to say. I can't say I always agree with everything he has to say but I have yet to find him saying a single thing where I disagree with his process or how he came to his conclusions. He is reasonable, able to support his conclusions and willing to listen to how and why you reached the conclusions you did. In my opinion it is the Roland fryers of the world that are the future, if we are in fact going to have any hope of climbing out of the cultural mess we are in. This guy is a flat out star.

Not a huge fan of affirmative action based on race alone but he makes a good point. Economic circumstances should 100% be weighted. Someone that came from nothing and a poor background gets a 1100 vs someone with a 1150 that comes from wealth with every opportunity should win out. There’s more perseverance and potential to be discovered

I think that college in general is too overrated. Most fields of study and the subsequent jobs related to them are better off being trade schools instead. Trade schools teach you everything you need to know for your future job in half of the time it would take in college and they require less classes that aren’t even related to the field that you are in. They are also significantly less expensive than even community colleges and you are almost guaranteed a job after graduation since a big precursor to getting into a trade school is the prospect that jobs will be present afterward.

As a white male, I'm thankful! If not for that racist POS Legislation, I'd have probably been stuck in a civil service rut had I not been discriminated against. I wanted to be a fire fighter back in 1975, but when I applied, the guy who took my application, stated quite clearly, they weren't hiring white people. He actually said, If was was willing to change my last name to that of Spanish descent, they would happily hire me, said their hands were tied due to AA. Long story short, I made my fortune by my 40s and retired. Yes, I scraped and suffered and finally made my mark. Abuse and addiction are ubiquitous. We can't give special preference to kids who live in inner cities assuming kids outside of them don't have hardships too. Each applicant needs to present their case. Will inner city kids have a higher probability of hardship? Potentially. But I've known too many kids who came from the suburbs and had really messed up home lives:+( God bless~

What? You need to get out of your basement more and actually see the real world rather than seeing what is on youtube. Can't save money in China? lol. The real reason why the Chinese invest more into their children is because of Confucian thinking, the family contains the most important relationships for individuals and forms the foundations of all social organisation. If your family is strong, you are strong because all your family members build wealth, connections and power which you can leverage off. And yes, retirement is part of it.
