When will dispatch people learn to ask questions and tell callers that people have a right to film in public? When will the police start writing tickets for people calling 911 for non-emergencies? When will people be cited for making false statements to the police?
I agree with you and the answer is "never." The one time the police don't respond and it's a real NUT who injures someone, there will be lawsuits, negative media, etc. Besides, I want the police to respond so they can be used as "evidence / testimony" in case I need to sue someone. As for citing fools who call 911 for non-emergencies? Along with a citation, they should also have to go through a mental evaluation.
