TalkTV’s Rosanna Lockwood is joined by former Undertones lead singer, turned anti-sewage campaigner, Feargal Sharkey, to discuss the Thames Water bills row.
It comes as the UK’s largest water company pleads to the Government to let them increase bills by 40%.
Thames Water has also been lobbying to pay lower fines for breaches, as the company has fined countlessly for pumping 72 billion litres of sewage into the Thames since 2020.
The measures are said to be an attempt to prevent the company, reportedly on the brink of collapse, from being taken over - which would slap taxpayers with the £18 billion debt burden.
Feargal says: “It needs to be rejected and not a penny of the public’s money should go into bailing this company out!”
