Actually Arsenal has the community shield. The FA cup is a bigger trophy than the community shield so i understand why one would argue that United had a better season but as we learned last year the community shield is so much bigger than the EFL cup that in the case of a double, the Community shield is played between the champions and the second team and not the EFL cup winners. Again i dont think the community shield is a worthy trophy but if you are going to talk about the EFL cup then you will have to corrected with some facts. If you say that Liverpool has a trophy then you automatically have to include the community shield for Arsenal since the Community Shield is bigger than the EFL cup. Using your own logic then and the fact that the Community Shield is much bigger than the EFL cup, Arsenal has had a way better season than Liverpool finishing 2nd and winning a better trophy ;)

When you are a big team like United you are judged on the league and Champs League, not FA Cup. The FA Cup is to compliment the league. Arsenal challenged for the league which is a much bigger trophy than than the FA Cup. To say United had a better season is to say that United sre to be judged on lesser standards.

Not hard to justify. Our main focus was on the UCL and Prem title and we're competing against the best side in world football for them... When you're a dire team like Man Utd finishing 8th with negative goal difference and finishing bottom in a group with Copenhagen and Galatasaray, then you can afford to focus your entire attention on domestic cups.
