Kanye West will go down as one of the best producers of all time. He WAS the “new version of Pete Rock.” I can’t say anything about him being a rapper. He has 3 classic albums to me, his first 3. And you can probably sneak dark twisted fantasy in there. I truly don’t like where Kanye has went. In the snippet on Netflix you see Rhymefest questioning Kanye about calling himself a genius. This kept him grounded. Nobody said you can’t be confident. Be when you enter delusions grandeur that’s when insanity hits. And people are cheering him on as he completely loses his mind.

great analysis and breakdown except for the 0 he gave to the Kanye bar. it ain’t that serious man! the lyric is supposed to be tongue-in-cheek and ridiculous. it’s all part of the mood. the rest of the song is a masterclass in music and production. great episode and a great guy tho. WE NEED MORE OF THESE!!
