hi and thank you for watching!
here are some songs i think are getting treated way too bad just because they’ve been played a lot/have been very popular. i hope you liked it!
i also hope this concept isn’t too hard to grasp, it made sense in my head but i’m not sure if you can actually understand it lmao…
also, a lot of these songs might not actually be overplayed but more just commonly disliked (or even liked and i’ve just gotten the wrong idea), i basically included everything that made sense to me

To me, it's not because it's popular, it's because it created an entire generation of girl groups being pushed to doing girl crush, just see what they did to weeekly, we basicaly lost them for no reason. Also, the amount of girl crush fans who think cute concepts are cringe and feel like they can have an opinion when all they listen to is blackpink is ridiculous. I love blackpink and I love girl crush, but I feel like it's overused in the industry and the disrespect to the other genres that BUILT kpop (and are still the favorites among koreans) really annoys me

The genres that built kpop is hip-hop first And 'girlcrush' is a type of music not a genre. Blackpink does hip-hop mainly, And tries to bring in a different genre for each song in their albums If the TT is edm, the others are dancehall, ballad, trap, hip-hop etc To say BP does same kinda songs is a joke ngl And I find no valid reason as to why ppl feel a need to join the hate bandwagon to say BP's gc is overrated just cuz others followed it. I love gc and will always do. I never find it boring and tbh love every group's gc songs more than the others.

@@_c.c.c_ Blackpink does not do hip-hop, that was a huge stretch in my opinion. Jennie herself said on a interview that they look like kids next to real hip hop artists, and blackpink only uses the "energy" of hip hop which is swag, but musically speaking they don't do hip hop. Anyways, I don't hate on blackpink, I hate on the people who only listens to blackpink and think they have valid opinions about kpop, that was my point.

That's because JYP is an absolute GOD and legend of a producer and writer. He manages to literally drill a song to your head and it takes quite a while to get over it haha. In my case I just can't stop listening to Signal, What is Love, Alcohol Free or Switch to Me. Somehow I always come back to those songs, it's just like a necessity LMAO. He is really something else when it comes to composing a song or writing lyrics

Still don't understand the loco hate. I loved the mv and song and outfits so I thought people would think it's one of their best eras but suddenly I was hearing everyone screaming out their lungs that it was HORRIBLE. Like they honestly acted like loco is the worst shit that jyp came out with. I was literally so damn Confused. Same with umpah umpah, one of the softest and happiest eras rv ever had. They were the happiest and prettiest that Era. They all were shining. And happy group+ happy song= perfect so why the f are people hating on umpah2x? People are literally tasteless. I do not like bad boy tho.

(Can't believe I'm already a college graduate now lol) I realised a day later that i forgot to watch the MV lol I was soo hooked to the song. The MV is as good as the song. Lisa's scene with the burning balcony + the rap is LIT.

Recently *Ready For Love* was the first song of Blackpink or k-female artists in general I think that made *CRY* Literally idk y But the bridge and outro was *Unbelievably Beautiful* and surged my emotions like nothing else I was tf I'm crying for lol I felt similar listening to HOLO by Leehi. It has the same reminiscent, hauntingly beautiful quality to it. And so meaningful ❤️✨
