Fuck the vocals, this is the best they've ever played this song. Any new songs this set? Les has spoken out against ever playing a "nostalgia tour", but maybe that only applies to Primus. I guess the jams count as new music, I just really want a new Oysterhead album.
I'm sure they have enough creativity left in them to throw a badass album together. It could be mostly jams with some clean vocal takes and I'd be so happy. Maybe though they just want to have fun on stage together and not "work" too hard on new stuff, especially with albums being no where near as profitable as shows in their scene. At least we have them at all I guess
When did he speak out against a nostalgia tour? I saw the Tour de Fromage (twice) when they played 2 sets, including all of Sailing the Seas of Cheese.
Hey guys I didn't get any notifications for this post because RU-vid lol As for the nostalgia thing I believe it was a comment Les made about the band's (Primus's) mentality around the first hiatus, similar to Phish in 2000. They didn't have new material and didn't want to play the old material.
I have heard Oysterhead already has enough material for an album. They just needed to play the old stuff to get the groove back after so friggen long off the road. It's all happening, people. Much love.
I don't think this is true. My reason is as follows: I saw them last year in 2019 and they were amazing. Then covet hit And they could have easily released singles here and there to keep people going instead they didn't. 2019 was the year of oyster head and this was just the makeup shows. They're done. Unfortunately.
@@charlienorton2337 they were great in Denver. My point is that they had a big 2020 tour set up and covid stomped it out. Then this year they did 2 make-ups at 2 festivals. I think they're done. But I hope you're right and they play again. Just doesn't make sense, no hinting toward it or anything. No new songs. And really no reason not to get people hyped if that's their plan. I wouldn't get your hopes up
Stayed through the rain for the luxury to see oysterhead and they absolutely flopped. Super quiet and undermixed. Felt like sound check and had no chemistry or energy. Don’t waste ur money paying the prices for the merch online 😂😂
Nice an honest thought out opinion on a obviously thrown together set. I mean with all Trey and to a lesser extent Les and even lesser Steward have much going on how much could they really have practiced? Id say not much. And I know this isnt soundboard much the mix does sound off. And it rained smh
I hear you. Individually, the drums, bass, and guitar sound good. They are all obviously talented and playing some cool stuff. But the mix is not good at all.
I find this very underwhelming for a headlining act, and I can’t be the only one because it looks like nobody in the crowd is moving. I miss Peach but I’m not too upset about missing this.
@@AraliaFresia def not as strong as that haterade you’ve been drinking. Read the comments bub, I think that speaks bigger volumes than an amateur recording 😂
@@AraliaFresia The Police are my favourite band of all time band, especially great live during 79-80 Reggatta/Zenyatta era. They weren't as great live on the 07/08 reunion tours. Les is a beast on the bass and has Sting beat, though Sting used to be awesome on bass back in the day.
A few come to mind....not necessarily preferred, just other great trios.....The Jimmy Hendrix Experience, Cream, Violent Femmes, Stray Cats, Wolf Bros.
would rather see a weekend of some good Oysterhead than Phish. "Billy said I am just a portion of the man I was before I went to Nam Now he drinks and snorts amphetamine Just as often as he can"
