I've recently started woodworking again.
I've started to build a guitar. The guitar is going to be an
“Instrument that will be Fit For A PRinCE!!!
While I've been wood working, I've been remembering the voice of my dad. Things that he would say when he was filing away on a piece of wood or metal or anything at all!!!
He would talk to me and advise me how to do it, how not to do it and how to avoid screwing up!
That's not fatherly advice, because my Dad was a master Craftsman.
He could build anything, he could repair… anything and improve upon most things!!!
He could even play guitar, not brilliantly but he could play.
My dad told me that he had to work very hard to get to his standard. It took him a very long time from an apprentice to a master of all trades!!!
I just pick-up the guitar and ran with it. I could play anything, or so I thought.
The truth is I could get things to sound close enough to convince most people that I was actually playing them properly.
The real actual truth is… I didn't know what I was doing!!!
I couldn't play very well, but because I had so much fun I could entertain people and they wanted to have fun too.
It was this that drove my dad crazy he was so jealous that people liked me because I could make them laugh and play guitar.
You see, what a come as trial and tribulation to him, came as mere child's play to me.
I was literally a child at play, and this is the most fun ever that anyone can have playing, singing and dancing to music!!!
